So many great artists to choose from, many with very distinctive sounds, but I'd have to say John Deacon of Queen. Such a tasteful player. Always serving the song.

Not my bag, and rambles on a few minutes longer than necessary, but competent enough at what they do!

I notice Neural have a new plugin for bass - Parallax. https://neuraldsp.com/products/parallax/ I'm no fan of Darkglass products really (undoubtedly darkglass based) but this could be a must buy for me! Ticks SO many boxes...

The crossover and driver combination will determine the final impedance of the cab. 2 8 ohm drivers in parallel will give you a nominal 4 ohm cab (technically it's not that simple as impedance is a function of frequency, but it'll do for this example), 2 8 ohm drivers connected to a crossover network could end you up anywhere as the crossover plays as big a part as the drivers do.

That'd be my first thought too, although it's maybe just been knocked/shaken loose. It could be one of the surrounding components or a power supply issue so maybe give @Ashdown Engineering a bell and they can walk you through some simple fault finding.

The parts photo looks like it may be an update from Sandberg on progress during its initial build (note German desktop paraphernalia, no decals fitted and no dots on the body so unlikely it was the seller taking it apart). If you take that into account the only dodgy looking thing about the bass itself is the decal - they're hand built basses so there is bound to be SOME variation from part to part and the odd... foible... And it's an ebay auction with no BIN that's yet to have a bid on it. The price has to start somewhere!

Beautiful... but suspiciously clean!

It would run off my daisy chain power supply too, but it wouldn't run off a lot of isolated output supplies that folks already own. Who's going to replace their power bank to try out a new Fender pedal? It does have a really good feature set though. Be interested to hear your thoughts, after you've battle tested it of course!

Hadn't heard of this before. Looks interesting but... 400mA! Jeez it's a thirsty beast...

I see the technique accelerator course is open for registration again. Anyone who signed up the first time (and stuck with it!) what did you think of it? My playing rut over the last few years would give the Marianas trench a run for its money! It's getting free time is my biggest issue. How much time do you really need to dedicate to get the most out of the course? I don't buy the 20 minutes guff...

I thought it was worth the punt given the hardware and pickups/preamp. We'll see how it goes!

I've asked the pertinent questions: Hi, nut width is 48mm. Distance at nut between 1st and 5th string is 37mm. Nut is wider because of the headless nut. At bridge string spacing is 17mm. The saddles have a small amount of widget regulation, so probably it could also be adjusted +/- 1mm At 1st fret the neck is about 21mm deep, at 12th fret is about 22mm. Neck profile is D shape, very regular from top to bottom. Weight is 3.9 kg. If you need anything else, just ask. Bye

Not the best example. Someone had been bad to it. Speaker was a replacement and not in good nick. I swiftly swapped over to the Peavey TNT it was propped on top of. Having said that the last night we were in the same rehearsal room I'd been using a Trace GP11 head and it was OUTSTANDING!!!

Oh I like that!
