This is probably one of my favourite pedals, but I've just spent a small fortune on plugins and an audio interface and the band is turning into a studio based project by the look of things so Neural DSP's Parallax has me covered for the territory this pedal gets me into. Don't be put off by the Kings X/Pinnick tones available (which aren't really my thing but do sound good), this is SO much more flexible. It's slightly gritty punch in a box, great compressor (and I HATE compressors!) and a tuner thrown in. Really reactive to picking dynamics and passive tone controls. My primary use was to get something approaching my tone of choice from rehearsal room rigs and I've used it with half a dozen different setups in various rehearsal rooms and it's delivered every time, even in the most questionable of circumstances!!!
