1. Great price! Mine works just fine without the battery cover...
2. ...So that's where my old RB5 went after NJE. Great bass. One that got away...
3. Very sad... Blues Brothers and a cold one this afternoon I think...
4.
aha! indeed, that sounds like a great mod to the micro QTron with its volume bump... and I only ever used it on Low Pass anyway... I must try this with the Bassballs... when I gather the courage to open it up and mess with it
Give me a shout if you're stuck and I'll offer any assistance I can.
5. Great song for anyone who's ever flown with an instrument. If I recall correctly the outcome from this was good for him and bad for United - always nice to see the little guy winning one for a change!
6. Just bought an (advertised as non functioning) MXR bass octave from Alex. Arrived very quickly! These are the sort of transactions that make basschat what it is. A pleasure from start to finish. Cheers mate! Now where's the soldering iron...
7. ...one cab to rule them all...
8.
Hi...Bit puzzled here, It has a selector switch so it should have another humbucker .Has this been removed by you and if so do you still have it?
Is this guy serious?
9. I shudder to think how good this cab must sound... I have the 4x12 version in the older Tech Soundsystems livery and it's AWESOME. This must be AWESOMER!!!
10. Limiter? Rubbish!!! It's an easy mod. Don't put the pot just before the output jack - that'll control both effected and uneffected signals. You want to put the volume pot between the output of the circuit and the footswitch so you're only controlling the effected volume. Done this a few times with mini qtrons (actually have one in my work bag returning it to Gareth Hughes of this parish today - although for this pedal I removed the rotary switch, hardwired the pedal to low pass and put the new volume pot where the rotary switch was - stealthy, makes the pedal much more useable and there's no change in tone that I can hear).
11.
Hmm I guess we'll never know.
If it's fixable you'll get first refusal @ £20 + parts + shipping when it's done mate.
12. I'll take the octave if it's still about. Pm'd
13. WANT THAT ONE!!! Alas my Dingwall has left me brassic...
14. Keep an eye out for a Johnny Shread Freak power supply. It's a copy of a Diago. I bought one from Shep/pantherairsoft recently for VERY little money and it's a great wee PSU.
15. PM'd Dan! Sorry Andy I'm all bassed out at the minute!
16. Sorry mate, I'm pretty set for pedals and stuff.
17. Can't believe I'm doing this but the simple truth of the matter is I have too much gear and not using much of it. I have my trusty ABM combo for when I need more than my Ashdown Little B**tard rig so alas the Terror Bass is on the chopping block. Brilliant little amp. Stupidly, STUPIDLY loud. Great condition with gig bag and original box (although the box is in 'knocked about in the garage for a while' condition!). Pics later. £350 shipped in the UK.
18. Just a big up for the Qtron+. I had a big box Qtron until recently and it convinced me that I needed a filter pedal (or 4 - I'm getting quite a wee collection going!) in my life. Restricted pedal board space was the only reason I got shot of the Qtron. It sounded AMAZING. Really fat and greasy. My proton gets close but is a little bit more polite and a good bit more pricey (and a good bit smaller too!).
19. Original post amended to include trades for Qtron mini or micro. May entertain other effects, but don't hold your breath!
20. Could I interest you in a boss ft2 by any chance?
21. Really enjoying my 3 Leaf Proton at the minute. Made a little mod to lengthen the decay time a bit and now it's getting pretty close to being perfect! A few more things to try on my filter quest - have a Tonefactor 442 incoming from Shep and the components for a meatball clone on the way so more experimenting to do. Will probably keep 2 filters on my board so don't have to whittle it down to one!
22. The 3 leaf is SO close to being great, but the decay of the filter is a little fast for me. It's staying in the meantime. I've just ordered the parts for a meatball clone so we'll see what happens there. I would be willing to have 2 filters on my board so the best 2 at the end of all this will stay.
23. Hi guys, I'm on the seemingly never ending filter quest! As a result I have for sale a Boss Dynamic Filter (FT2). Bought only a few weeks ago from ebay after reading what people on here thought. Alas I've also bought a 3 Leaf Audio Proton and Shep's Tonefactor 442 so something has to go. I'd describe this as more predictable than most filters. It's very musical, but it's greasy and whacky that I'm looking for and this doesn't quite do it. Seems to like higher output basses this one, which can't be said for all the filters I've tried! It's in reasonable nick with the wear you might expect from a pedal of this vintage (see pics for the worst of it). These are getting hard to find so I lept on this as soon as I saw it on the 'bay. I paid £50 + 8.99 postage (yeah I know - poked!). I'll take £50 posted for this. Would trade for an EHX Mini or Micro Qtron to modify to further my filter quest! Cheers Ian
