1. just been asked to add some dims for the ramp...so I've measured it, if y'all want any more info let me know and I can do some more measuring "the gap between the pickups is, I believe, 70's spacing(?) and the ramp measures a very consistent 85mm from front to back, ie the gap between the pickups on a Geddy jazz is marginally over 85mm cos this fits super snug inbetween them"
2. I used to love my eden WT800, the sound was killer through the 410XLT and 210XLT that I had! I think you need to put a value to your trade nowadays matey
3. This was made for the shuker neck that used to be on my Geddy jazz, now it has a BassDoc fretless neck it doesn't allow me to dig in enough and is a little high for the super sweet low fretless action that BassDoc's managed to produce...consequently it's for sale as there's no going back to the fretted neck since it's no longer in the country! Beautifully made and shaped little thing, fits precisely between the pickups on a Geddy jazz, no need for velcro or screws, friction holds it in place perfectly! There a little shaping underneath so it fits snug to the body around the end of the scratchplate here's what it looked like when on the bass: DPP_2179 by andydye, on Flickr I have no idea how much one of these costs to make so initial price punt...£30 inc uk shipping? (if you think that's way off price wise do pm me rather than haggle in the thread...ta folks!)

11.
Since sending you the S1 BottomE and despite loving my NXT4 I have come to realise that I can't live without a fretless electric bass as there are just some songs that won't work on upright, so...I will be properly joining in with this thread as soon as Bass Doc gets back from holiday and fits the new fretless neck on my Geddy Jazz! DPP_2247 by andydye, on Flickr ...a little teaser shot
I have it back now! 16. Sounds like an amazing learning experience matey! I hope you manage to enjoy it too, even if it's only the enjoyment that comes from having survived the set! However it turns out you'll have learned loads and will have discovered that you're better than you thought you were... Good luck and let us know how you get on!
17.
Glad to hear it, Andy! The NXT 4 went to another basschatter in the end, to do an X Factor tour, I think he said. Traded anything interesting recently?
fairly quiet year I think trades wise, sold the shuker neck from my geddy jazz and sent the body to bassdoc for a new fretless neck, should be arriving at my house today my Lakland 55-02 arrived in March I think it was so that's my main bass and my amps are sorted as of last year (Genz Shuttle 9 and a pair of Epi UL112-2 cabs) although I'm really tempted to see how different it would sound through a Barefaced Super 12T... Traded Line6 DL4 for a Lomenzo Hyperdrive, sold Hyperdrive to part fund either Catalinbread SFT or Xotic BB Bass Preamp, having a go with both this week to try and choose which Traded EBS Mumlticomp for Aguilar TLC - lovin it! Sold my EBS octabass and multidrive and bought an Aguilar Octamizer - arrived this morning, trying it tonight! hhmmm, maybe not that quiet...all change in the pedalboard it would seem
18.
Nice one Andy! Yes, I remember that now. Come to think of it, I never updated that post to show that I sold the bass. Better do that now. Hope you're keeping well, sir!
All good ta matey! Still hanging around on here buying and swapping bits and bobs, chipping in where I might know something useful but mostly learning useful stuff myself...

obbm's feedback

Once again Dave has come up with the goods, yet another superb cable shipped the day after ordering! Sublime level of service and professionalism! Thanks again!!
20. In response to my musings on whether I'd prefer a Catalinbread SFT to an Xotic BB Bass Preamp, Ivan pm'd me to say I could borrow his SFT as he wasn't currently using it...gobsmacked I said yes please that would be amazing, and, lo and behold, it arrived on my desk this morning in prefect time for this evening's band practice! The man is a true pillar of the spirit of BassChat and I salute him!! EDIT - Ivan has now kindly agreed to sell me the pedal! Price agreed within minutes, everybody's happ! I love my new SFT!
21. Welcome properly matey, we had a backnforth when you were selling your nxt4! I like it here, hopefully you will too!
22. mic - pronounced mike, short for microphone, same sound different spelling, you do get some funny kids on here (we all like to play with words...) I've always found the SM58 to have a mid hump whereas the Sennheiser generally has a much flatter response so you don't have to work as hard to amplify naturally, I have a bunch of E855 mics that we use at church and they're brilliant. the e845 that's on here would be superbly adequate and a quality bump from an SM58 which I once a/b compared with an e835 in a shop and found to be about the same... They're pretty good at cutting down 'off-axis' noises so she'd need to develop good mic discipline and not wander off from it...
23. I have covetous eyes and an empty wallet
