1. I bought Andy's beautiful GB Spitfire 4 string today. He's been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks very much for that Andy. Really nice bloke too. Only shame was the weather knowing that a Mancunian was on the way and so opening the heavens for me! Cheers, Pete.
2. Well......got home just over an hour ago. What a very, very, very long day! Been on the road since 7.30am, and been driving for most of that. But.......it's been 1000% worth it. Got her home and immediately played her (it must be a 'she' ). And what a dream to play. Just feels right straightaway. Andy....I know how you feel. I also delivered my Warwick Thumb to joe_bass today, and I can't deny there was a little something inside me that was sad to see it go, as I've owned it for 18 years. But like I said at the time, it's not been used in anger for at least 2 years, so better to go to someone that'll give it the use it deserves. Once again, thanks for making it easy for me. And I promise I'll look after her. Cheers, Pete.
3.
I just bought Pete's 76 Precision, and he even delivered it from Manchester as he was passing through near my place. Top bloke, and the bass is absolutely fantastic - thanks again, Pete.
Hi Mark, Really glad you're happy with it. It's a great excuse for getting all The Jam tracks out eh? And oddly enough, after going from yours to Suffolk and then to Surrey, I ended up passing your junction on the M40 again on the way home! What a lonnnnnnnnng day, but well worth it. Enjoy. Cheers, Pete.
4.
Bought Pete's G&L this afternoon - he delivered it to my doorstep this evening. A very smooth transaction and a lovely bloke. Thank you!
Hi Guy, Thanks a lot. It was nice to meet you. Nice collection of basses you've got too. Have fun with the G&L. All the best, Pete.

6. Saw some in my local PMT in Salford, and to be honest, the worn look just looked "too new" (if that makes sense). But I must admit, the sound of the one in that Youtube clip does sound nice.
7.
I suspect this won't be around for long.
That's what I'm hoping......hence the low price tag.
8. PMs replied to. Forgot to say.....as he needs to sell urgently, I've been asked to put them on eBay tomorrow (Tuesday 20th) if no response on here. Please don't make me do it. Don't make me hand it to the evilbay!!
9. For sale: G&L L-2500 Tribute - price £300 + p&p. (I will be in the Suffolk area this Wednesday 21st Oct, so could arrange delivery or meet up). I bought this from yorks5stringer last year (see his thread) and it has been used sparingly since then so is in the same condition as when I bought it. A fantastic bass with a huge range of sounds. Can cover Jazz, Precision and Stingray all in one. As Keith has already stated, only blemish on the tip of the headstock, and the back of the neck having two slightly different shades (see neck photo).
10.
Can you find out where he got the flightcases made? Cheers
They were made by www.rjflytes.co.uk
11. Update: Yet another price drop. One of us must have a guitarist that would love this excellent piece of guitar kit. See dropped prices in my OP.
12. Andy.....Andy.....Andy...... Why do this to me???? As I've mentioned once or twice before, I was in Bernie's basement the day before you collected it, and he played it through the rig that I eventually walked out of the shop with. It sounds absolutely stunning!!! Right.......I'm off down to hell to sell my soul to the devil.....I'll be back (hopefully)!!
13.
I like it. Honestly.
+1 Oddly
14. Bloody hell, can't believe this is still here. Beautiful looking, and a wonderfully versatile bass.
15. Haven't read through any of the thread, but my answer to the initial question is...... .....is he bollocks.
16. I might be wrong but it looks more like a G&L to me
17. I've got a sunburst model, and it's a great versatile bass. In all honesty, the natural/maple would have been my preferred finish. I just love natural basses. Good price too. Surprised nobody's bought it yet.
18. Love my TD650. Fantastic amp.
19. I have a Stingray 4 as my main bass, and I play everything from rock (both fingers and plectrum) to soul to slap and it does them all. So I would imagine a 5 string Stingray would be great. I also have a G&L L-2500 Tribute and they can get you sounds from Precision to Jazz to Musicman all from one bass at half the price of the Stingray, but for more than half the quality. So it depends on what your budget it, but I would urge you to try both.
20. Enjoyed the track. I always did like Art of Noise considering they were predominantly an "keyboard/samples" type of band. That performance was hardly the most exhilarating though. Lacklustre at best.
21. Nice work there Keith. Looks smart for a smaller bodied singlecut. That 5 string really is bloody beautiful though
