Total Watts

  1. I havent been playing bass very long, probably about a year now. I was thinking maybe a q tron plus or a digitech synth wah but ill look at anything, what do you guys think? I play a bit of everything, mainly funk metal/rock, and im using a 5 string peavey millenium bxp ac at the moment.

    5 String?

Ive been playing bass a few months now, and im thinking about investing in a good 5 string bass, maybe a fender j-bass or a musicman stingray. What do people recommend? I'm playing mostly rock and metal, but i need a bass suitable for slapping and popping too, suggestions?

    EB-00

Slightly off topic here, but were you able to find a gig bag for this bass? Im having trouble finding one that the head will fit in, hes quite wide at the top.. and the epiphone bag is apparently rubbish =S

    Epiphone EB-0

Epiphone Eb-0 Bass Guitar Cost : £99 from local guitar shop Specs : 4 string, Short scale Not too sure what the body/neck are made out of (first bass, first review, been playing almost 2 months...) High Action Single truss rods. Fixed bridge (i think) Single passive humbucker pickup. Cherry red body, also available in black [attachment=27299:NIKOLAI_001.jpg] Pros : Despite the bad reviews, it IS possible to slap on this bass Great roaring sound A little muddy, but not too much Versatile, been playing a little bit of everything so far (metal, funk, blues, rock, random sh1t that my wannabe metal friend made up) Great colour and look, like a gibson SG style Stays in tune well Short scale makes it easier to glide up and down the neck [attachment=27300:NIKOLAI_004.jpg] Cons : Neck dive, but its not too much of a problem Its actually impossible to buy a bag for this bass. It has big tuning pegs, so the heads are not wide enough- and the official bag is difficult to get to ship to england, and supposedly falls apart anyway; im going to buy a crappy bag and cut the top off, he can wear a hat or something =] It can be difficult to adjust from a short scale to a full scale, i borrowed my friends broken fender precision bass copy when i first got my eb-0 [attachment=27298:NIKOLAI_003.jpg] Overall, its a great bass, and for £99, you cant really go wrong =]
  5. Usually slapping one fret and popping the octave is a good place to start =]
