1. I was an Elites user for years changing strings every 3-4 gigs. Now I have been using Elixers for about a year. I have changed my basses more often than my strings in that time. Def recommended.
2.
How do you find the LB550? I was so tempted to pick one up, now they seem to have disappeared. Would be a great friend for my LB30 - I love the form factor. Geoff
pm'd
3. I can update my previous post on page one and say that, yes, I am definitely using one bass, one amp and one cab now. Squier JV jazz Ashdown LB550 Barefaced super 12 I can fit it all in a Seat Arosa and keep the child seat in place! I am so rock 'n roll!
4. Had an excellent night in Falmouth last night with the rock covers band I play in. The sound was excellent and all the band played well. The punters were really into it all night. I have been using my Ashdown LB550 with barefaced super twelve for a while now and the combination is killer. I have had lots of nice comments on the sound, so its not just me that notices it.
5. Hi All, is there anyone out there looking for a little work? I need a dep bass player for a Cornwall based Funk/Latin band. I have a few gigs I cant do in a few months and dont want to let them down. It is a six piece band and all the musicians are first class. Any dep should be able to hold their own in a jazz/funk/latin gig. There will be the occasional solo too. If it works out it may even be a permanent position as I am very busy in a different band. Cheers, let me know, Dean

7. I have played it in a pub covers band. The whole band really enjoyed playing it but it went down like a fart in a spacesuit. We dropped it for something the punters know.
8. I play in a pub/rock/covers band and recently we had a request for a Def Leppard number by an enthusiast punter (as you do). We now have 'animal' in the set. Its not particularly challenging but it does go down well with drunkens

10. I bought a strap from Dave. Nice guy to deal with. Speedy delivery.
11. I missed this thread. I should join in. Here is my JV Jazz bass. The scratchplate and control plate are replacements.
12. I would like to yes, do you accept buttons and IOU's?
