Bill Vincel (Chords of Orion) put up this useful video last week.

I'm not aware of being able to apply more than one MIDI note to a footswitch, someone correct me if I'm wrong. There are ways round that though. I have a patch that I use to play the root and whatever additional pitch I select with it, all at the same time. Plays a two note chord from one note. Great with the Ebow. That uses the 'dual pitch' effect. Very easy to set up. I have it set to play the root with 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th. I don't know if that's what you mean. Anyway here's a vid of it in practice.

I can't find that in the 'ACG Book of Ultimate Compliments'. It must be a new one for the next addition. Look forward to seeing that with a finish on it.

That looks really good. I think the accidental oversized neck pocket works really well too. It wouldn't look as good without it.

I'd certainly recommend a Status bass but then I am biased. The S3 in this vid is the best bass I have ever played and that's saying something against my Overwater and ACG. The necks Status make are to die for. They fit my hands so well, so comfortable to play.

Practice on a fretted bass. 😮 If you are able to play a fretted bass with absolutely no fret buzz then you can easily translate that onto fretless. To avoid fret buzz completely you have to position your finger just behind the fret. Try it.

Someone on Facebook was wondering if Frippertronics could be done with the Line 6 Helix. Curious, I had a look at the delays and sure enough there are a few with 4 second delays, just right for the job. Played on my Status S2 fretless with an Ebow.

Chris McIntyre in Edinburgh is a nationally renouned luthier who charges £45 for a setup. If your guy charges £65 then that's what he feels he can charge. You made the choice to go there. The local market will always inform prices. He might have had so much work he could not cope so putting prices up can slow down that amount of work. There are always a lot of different reasons that dictate prices.

I never use one because lined fretless is best.
