  1. What I can hear sounds fantastic but I don't do Spotify so unfortunately can't hear anymore.
  2. A bass suitable for Spinal Tap. Big Bottom. As @Stub Mandrel says. [Face palm]
  3. Mighty impressive. Looks like the real thing. Well, it is the real thing. There's only one Blazerray. ๐Ÿ‘
  4. There, corrected. Hopefully that doesn't taint your love too much ๐Ÿ˜„
  5. Liked that. Lots of attitude. Bass playing was good too. Could so easily have just stuck to the root note but had those little fills that add so much colour to the whole track. ๐Ÿ‘
  6. ๐Ÿคจ Whiterton and Tankable? ๐Ÿคจ
  7. For the extra price you get the privilege of having the straplock removed. I've noticed one or two very nice basses on Ebay getting no interest lately.
  8. You could easily change necks to a fretless. All it needs is a good setup with the fretless neck. How much is not a fortune to you. Cheaper good quality basses are the usual names, Ibanez, Cort, ESP LTD, etc. If you know how to setup your own basses you could simply buy a fretless neck to fit and change the setup to your taste. Maybe change strings as well as rounds can dig into some finger boards with softer woods.
  9. Very fine playing Sir. If that's an Ibanez Portamento bass it's the first time I've heard one sound that good. ๐Ÿ‘
  10. There you go. Simply paste the link into the post. Job done. Music sounds great to. Love a bit of Latin.
  11. They are all different. Stomp can only use six blocks as maximum. HX doesn't have amps and cabs so it stands that patches can't be shared between them. I have experienced the same issue in trying to use a Stomp patch in full Helix. Can't be done.
  12. A Frippertronics exercise using only natural harmonics and an EHX Pitch Fork along with all the usual suspects helping out.
  13. Well, it is a Rob Allen bas and it is in very good condition. ๐Ÿ˜„
  14. That's what I see now too. Someone's messaged him or he's seen sense. End of thread.
  15. I'm probably doing the guy a favour in posting this. He hasn't done himself any. "Rob Allen fretless bass in very good condition." That's the info on it. Oh, and what you might call a picture. So dark you can only just see the bass. And he wants ยฃ2500 for it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rob-Allen-Mb2-4-string-lined-fretless-bass/173728105007?_trkparms=aid%3D888007%26algo%3DDISC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140328180637%26meid%3Dc73ba94e462e48c99f88c8b9860ba866%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D303021382893%26itm%3D173728105007&_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982
  16. The necks are the wrong way round. Mike Rutherford always had the guitar on top. Oh, hang on. Geddy always had the bass on top. Hmm.
  17. I suppose we all take the same instrument and individually make many different sounds with that same instrument. It would be interesting to hear what different people make with the same sound you have recorded here. Essentially you are using the printer and an editor as the instrument and creating your own sound with it in the same way we would with a bass guitar. Boundaries being shifted again. Always good to see that.
  18. Another astoundingly magnificent piece of work from Mr. C. ๐Ÿ’–
  19. When I were a lad growing up in Glasgow the places to buy records were Listen and Blogs. Always had lots of the right records. Then along came Virgin and that saw the end of Listen and Blogs. Then Virgin went to the retail graveyard but surviving through all that was HMV. I haven't seen an HMV in Edinburgh or Newcastle since the last administration and I, like so many others, buy music online now. As others have said, I'm not sure they will survive this round. Mike Ashley might well be waiting to hoover everything up but he has some very interesting ideas about the retail industry as he testified here.
  20. Ibanez basses are well regarded. The only problem I have with them is the necks are very slim, front to back. You'll get a good bass though. Alternatives are Corts or ESP LTD. More than likely all made in the same factory. The Corts have very nice necks, a bit deeper than the Ibanez necks.. LTDs have quite slim necks as well.
  21. It's an S1 Classic from early 2000s. They had the Board 100 pre amp which was the very basic model with pickup pan, volume and treble cut. Details in the link below. http://www.statii.com/status_cats/reviews/3/index.html
  22. That's been up for quite a while. It certainly fits with the timing of this model's availability. I notice he has changed the title as he was originally selling it as an S2. I messaged him to say it wasn't, his reply said he checked the receipt which said it was an S2. Might have been missold to him as that. Price is more than twice as much as it should be. Still someone might fall for it.
