1. I bought a 2012 Am. Std. Jazz, and it sounds great. The 60"s pups sound good. The price increase was $50.00. I liked the Blizzard Pearl better than the new Jade Green. I went with the Olympic White, and the Maple board.
2. What ever Maple, and the cut Fender used on my 2012 Am. Std. Jazz, they made a good choice. The sound is great.
3.
Interesting! To me, that neck just doesn't quite look right... Is that the standard fingerboard option? I just think it needs blocks or a RW board. Just what I'm used to I suppose...
Blocks aren't an option on the Am. Std. Jazz with the Maple. I does come in both Maple, and a buffed Rosewood. I really am liking the Am. Std. Jazz / Hartke LH500 head / Acoustic B410 cab. sounding very good.
4. Thank you Gents. I haven't been this up on a bass in a while. Not seeing one of the 2012's was a bit of a gamble. I've had a few American Standards, but not with the sound this one has. My opinion, the CS 60"s pups for me, were well worth it. I may have just bought my last bass.
5. Thank you, You're '92 Levinson Blade B3 jazz bass is great looking. How do you like the Markbass F1? I recently played through some Markbass amps at a local shop, and was throughly blown away by their awesome sounds.
6. I played a 2012 Am. Std. Jazz, and the 2011 Am. Std. Jazz, side by side. The CS 60"s pups on the 2012, were a little deeper than the Alnico V's on the 2011. The Fender factory strings on the 2012, are brass ball ends. Not colored ball ends like on the 2011 also. The quality is great, as well as the sound. From what I remember of a 60's Jazz sound, the 2012 I played had the sound.

8. I go with D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound Strings. Gauges, .50, .65, .85, .105
9. I'm using the LH500 a AK115 cab. The LH1000 head is a good head. The HyDrive cabs are good , but a bit too bright sounding for my liking. If needed more power than the LH500 head, the LH1000 would be the head of choice for myself.
10.
I have my 2 babies my fender mexican p special and my schecter diamond extreme, they never let me down play like a dream. I play them and all the bullshit in my life goes away and I'm alive..
Very well stated!
11.
Astonishing!
That is a great looking AX! Great shots of it.
12. I totally agree, if my Precision was not shielded as it should be, it would be back to the dealer fast. No excuse for that.
13. The Hartke LH amps work well. I'm using an LH500. If I needed a more powerful amp, the LH1,000 would be my choice.
14. I'm using a Hartke LH500, paired with a Hartke AK115 cab. No problems here. I did however have the pulsing problems with some Marshall MB Series Combos, and MB450H Heads. After about a hour of playing, the fan motor started to rev. It was pretty loud too. There was no way they could be used in a studio. I gave up on the Marshalls, went to my Hartke set up, with no problems.

Strings

I'm using D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound strings on a Fender American Deluxe Precision. They sound great also on fretless basses too.
16. I'm using one bass, a Fender American Deluxe. It has a great sound, and it plays well.
17. D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewound strings. Gauges, .50, .65, .85, .105.
18. I recently purchased a Deluxe Precision with no grounding problems. Lately on the Fender site, there have been some complaints of no shielding in the pick up pockets of some of the higher end basses.

22. I picked up a Hartke LH500 head, and a Hartke AK115 cab. today. My bass is a Fender American Standard Fretless Jazz. It sounds really good through the Hartke. The AK115 has a paper cone. I like the tone of it better than the aluminum cones, in some of the other Hartke series cabs. The LH500 head is a good match for the AK series cabs. I think it was a good choice for the fretless jazz. It has a good punch to it, and the settings are pretty simple to set.
23. Kustom Amps were a work horse of amps back then.
24. Hello gents. I've been bouncing around, and found the Jazz that really got my attention. An American Standard 2012 Jazz. The pups on this one just sound right.
25. I've been stringing through the body for so long, I just like it, and never had any string issues doing it.
