1.
I like a split, side by side arrangement as I find it aids balance. As to actual design I really like the ones on my Gary Willis, not the most attractive things, but really slick to use and don't get knocked out of tune on stray mic boom stands or in gig bags
Wow! Very nice! I've never seen those before either.
2.
Isn't that a smart, minimal and classy setup? Especially the P
Thank you. It works for me. The TC Electronic RH450 head matches up well with the Ampeg SVT-410HLF cab. "Candy", she's my Precision. 3. Which Machine Head Designs do you prefer. Not the brands, just the basic design, In-line tuners, or split line tuners? OR

5. I like the CS60's P bass pick up. It has a bit more full sound to to it.
6. If you don't have a short scale bass, .................... Give one a try. Gibson or Epiphone. (SG, EB0)
7. Mt Gibson SG Std. is light weight, and sounds great.

9. With short scale, as time goes by the availability for strings is limited. Long scale is where it's at for choices.
10. If I were to go back to 2X12 cabs again, the TC Electronics 2X12 cabs, or the Mesa 2X12 cab.
11. I go with the Gibson SG Std. The Humbuckings do great.
12.
I realy like playing this bass, in original trim the pickup was weak n the tone controle was more like an extra volume, just killed it. had a lot of fret buz but a couple a twaks n that was sorted. fit n finish are spot on, flawless paint work n adding the black pearl pick guard has improved the looks even more. At the price i would say they are good value, with a few mods its better than any of the std MIJs ive tryed IMHO. neck is very smooth and fast (but i do prefer the finish of the MIJ neck) cost wise 235 for bass 85 for emg 30 for the tape wound strings 10 for a set of fender jaz control knobs and 17 for a sheet of black pearl (made three pick guards from that !) so for just over 360 i see it as a bargin. Half the price of an MIJ and looks nicer too. Just a note to anyone thinking about getting Black nylon tape wound strings (or any strings for a mustang) i recomend getting 32" scale strings to allow for the strung through body, most 30.5" short scale strings are to short ! (i use these http://www.daddario....5__Medium_Scale ) pics http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
I agree with your choice of the ETB92 Med. I use the ETB92S for the SG Std. I'm just waiting for the order to come through for the SG Std.
13. I'm back with the Gibson SG Std. I started out with an EB0 in 1970. The SG Std. is great.
14. The Beatles from Abbey Road, "The End".

17. I'm Glenn, the old man that posted The Beatles. I'm kind of an outsider being from the states. You guys are super to get into it, and make you points etc. The way everyone has. If nothing else comes out of The Beatles topic, Be proud they were from the UK.
18.
I think they were just a band that made it very very big. That's all A good indication of their songs and talent I think comes from the diversity of style - most people, I think, would be able to find a Beatles song that they think is a good song whether it's Something. Helter Skelter or Love me do; I think that's probably rare with any artist.
That kinda' sums it up. That's a great point I think.
19.
Although, without the Beach Boys, the Beatles later output might not have turned out quite the same. And visa versa... PS I love the Beach Boys very patchy back catalogue though.
I agree totally, The Beach Boys were very talented. I just grew tired of Surf Music. And true, it's not unusual for other's music to rub off on other player's styles.
20. I'm really glad The Beatles showed up when they did. I couldn't have handled listening to The Beach Boys any longer!
