1. This one has La Bella 760NHBB Nylon Tapewounds onboard. The Hofner Flats sounded good, I just prefer Nylons.
2. A short time ago, I acquired a Hofner 500/1 bass that plays so smooth. Anyone else playing Hofner violin basses?
3. Excuse my ignorance, but not being from around these parts, What is "white spirit"? Is it like a mineral spirits, etc.?
4. I recently acquired this Am. Std. Jazz. For me you can't beat Olympic White, Maple Fretboard, and a White PG.
5. I have to go with the Fender Am. Std. Fretless Jazz.
6. My two are an Am. Std. Jazz, & a Hofner 500/1
7. I acquired a GK MB Fusion 500 head today. i didn't get a chance to do anything but unpack it, and hook it up. I'm hoping tomorrow I can power it up.
8.
Very nice, have you sold it yet?
No, it's still round, with the USA Geddy Lee Jazz also.
9. I'm still truckin' along with my USA Geddy Lee Jazz. It's a great player.
10. My Fender Am. Std. "PJ" Precision, does well for me.
11. I just acquired this Am. Std. "PJ" Precision. It's an Am. Std. Precision body, with an Am. Std. Jazz neck. CS60's, Precision / Jazz pups, with a side mounted jack. It really plays nice. It's also a Limited Edition, just how many Fender considers Limited Edition is not to clear right now. I guess.
12. I paired up a Fender Super Bassman with an Ampeg SVT-212AV. The Super Bassman sounds great with the 2X12 cab, in place of the Bassman 410 Neo I was using. The SVT-212AV is a 600 watt, 4 ohm cab.
13. Basically what my Am. Std.'s are now, except I would like a 12" radius on the fretboard. That's about it.
14. An Olympic White, Am. Std. Precision, with a White Pearloid PG.
15. I use D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewounds on the USA Geddy Lee Jazz. They sound, and play great.
16. I play the USA Geddy Lee Jazz the most.
17.
Hi gsgbass, I do have experience with an American standard Jazz, the neck on the Geddy usa has it's own feel it is nothing like the AS, in fact it is unlike any jazz i have played, i had a bass player pal who plays jazz and P bass, he just loved the feel of the Geddy neck straight away, the neck is thicker than most jazz necks but still very comfy to play the varnish is removed from the playing area so very fast, you really have to try one to see if the feel suits you, it is a fantastic bass, can't say enough good things about it , it has Great tone, build quality ,playability, looks . it has it all.
Thank you for your post. I find the neck to be as you stated, unlike any jazz. I'm playing mine a lot in the short time I've had it. It would be a tough decision to have to make, if I had to choose between an Am. Std.Jazz, and the USA GL Jazz.
18. I picked up a US Geddy Lee Jazz today. A really nice Bass. The neck feels good, and it's quick. The pups have a great sound also.
19. I have some serious GAS, waiting for this little dude to show up.
20. I'm playing a 2015 Precision with the CS60's. It's a smooth player with those pups in it.
