1. i hope the other one is red, haha! Best colour on these. I wish they came in a short scale option, actually I wish all basses came in a short scale option haha
2. These are really fantastic basses and a bargain at this price IMHO, GLWTS
3. I bought a Roland Bass Cube 20XL from Dave. great comms, fast delivery, amp exactly as described (mint!). Top guy, cheers Dave!
4. This bass used to be mine, and I can vouch for its awesomeness. Excellent instrument.
5.
Eeeek - Just bought the MIJ. That means I'll need to sell my Yamaha BB1024 to make room.
Awesome, let us know how you get on with it. That one was a bargain if it's brand new, they're were closer to £750 new a few years ago
6.
Hi Mel! Really!? All the shop websites report the MIM nut width as 42mm. I'll see if I can find out more via Fender's website. Edit: Quite a bit on Talkbass about this. See Post number 210, complete with steel ruler in place showing 1.5". https://www.talkbass.com/threads/new-pj-mustang-at-summer-namm.1230121/page-11
Yeah the TB thread is how I knew about it, I've been following that since the first post
7. The MIM doesn't actually have a wider neck, it's an error in the specs. it's jazz width
8. Absolutely the most stunning SG guitar I ever saw
9. Another great build Andy! I'd love to see more of this SG six stringer
10.
Good idea. Unfortunately I've rehearsed with it and changed the strings, so wouldn't be able to send it back
I've changed the strings on basses before and then returned them, as long as there's no damage from rehearsal I would think you could return it. Save yourself £350!
11. Browser tries to load it for a couples of minutes then says server stopped responding. Anyone else having this issue?
12.
+1 and I would rather like a German short scale Corvette but have not seen one yet.
A guy on talkbass owns one but it's the only one I've seen
13.
A very nice bass for someone, just bear in mind that German (long scale) can be purchased for £75 to £100 more. The quality on the RBs I have had in my hands has been excellent.
Definitely worth bearing in mind but for people limited to shorties it's not really an option. German short scales are really rare and go for a lot more when they do pop up
14. It is a short scale I've got one of these beasts and its identical down to the number of frets. Great bass
15. These are great basses - I've nearly bought one a couple of times but remembered I'm a short-scaler these days! And Tom's a great guy, buy with confidence
