5.
Haha, I considered it, but I'd get less for the iPhone
True true. Damn, I feel your pain man. If I had the money, I'd buy it from you with a deal that you buy it back with the first paycheck from your next job.
 6. Woo! Mine has arrived (thanks Tom), neck traded (thanks Ste), pick guard fablon-ed, pickup covers changed, and that's it! I personally think it looks great. Sounds and plays ok... I can't give it much more than an ok, but for the price, definite bargain. Edit: Ah crap I just broke a string. Never done that before. Obligatory picture...
 7.
A bit of a snob especially if your after a mim which gets you into entry level Fender logo territory but who cares? if you enjoy the real deal then go for it. The colour/fretboard combinations are always planned to tempt you into buying USA versions, The only rw boards I have are on my acoustic and Squier Jazz I would always go for maple if it's on offer.
Would you say that for example a Squier CV is better quality than a MIM Fender?
 8. Some interesting responses. I'd like to find a used white MIM P bass but it seems they are few and far between, and don't exist at all with maple boards But answer me this? Am I a snob for not being keen to gig with a Squier logo on my headstock?
 9. I wants to play too! Stagg of unknown model Cort Curbow Hondo Ric Copy Harley Benton fretless Aria STB-J Kramer Baretta LTD B-155DX Warwick Corvette $$ Warwick Fortress One Sue Ryder Precision Heh. I thought I'd gone through more than that!
 10.
Yep - you get a brand new bass Buying from a shop that's had it on display for 6 months & has been played by 473 people doesn't count as new
I agree. But my local music shop keep bugger all basses in stock, so they order in what you want I have major gas for that Matt Freeman signature Squier, and pretty sure I won't be finding one of those used yet! But don't wanna just throw money at something brand new when there's awesome stuff to be had on the used market

 13.
I think you've got a race to raise the funds going on man, I'm fully planning on making an offer once I manage to, just need my pension refund to hurry up, although I'm 90% sure it will sell the day before
Haha! I'll fight you to the death for it man
 14.
Why is this not selling??????? I must reiterate this bass has been well looked after and near to mint condition as you would expect, its only 3 years old, is my price to high?
I don't think your price is too high. I'm very interested, but trying to raise the cash think it's just a sign of the times.
 15. 1994 Warwick Fortress One for sale. This is a stunning bass with the very desirable all wenge neck. Made in Germany. Neck, truss rod, frets, electronics, hardware all good. Strap locks included. Easy on the shoulder as it weighs in at just under 9lbs, and has the best balance of any bass I've ever played. It's a little "roadworn" as you can see in the pictures. But for a 17 year old bass that's been much played and loved, I think it's looking awesome. [s]£500[/s] £400 including a gig bag. Would prefer collection but if interested, we can discuss postage/courier. Please note, the bass is strung BEAD at the moment but can be changed if required for the price of a G string (£6 in my local music shop) Photos here: http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a407/I...ick%20Fortress/
 16. Considering any trades, or sale only?
 17.
Keep the 'wicks, you'll wsant them back as soon as the 2nd hand market lifts for them again and they become more desirable
You're right of course. But my problem is that I want a Fender P, and have a strict one in one out policy. I have another Warwick which is never going anywhere so... there's my problem
 18. I have the same situation - trade my Warwick Fortress One for a Fender Precision Standard? I realise I'm contributing nothing here but just wanted you to know you're not alone
 19. Haha, I could! But I don't have the space. Must say I'm pretty impressed with the SR bass. Although I have to admit, I pulled it apart before I had chance to plug it in I like the pickups best your way. Looks awesome man. I need to learn to solder so I can get some pickups and pots for my new toy!
 20.
do I detect Sue Ryder content? this may amuse you
You certainly do and it was your photo that made me want a maple fretboard! Plus Matt Freeman of course. I've already decided on maple (and have in fact got a neck trade lined up with another basschatter) but just thought it would be fun to see what everyone else likes!
 21. So, which looks best? Please excuse the dodgy mock up in Paint.
 22. I'm stoked, my white Ryder was delivered this morning. Now for the question. Does anyone happen to have a maple Ryder neck they would like to either sell me or swap for my rosewood one?
