2. Wow! Amazing! Do you have any of the "before" pictures, or are they too painful?... Eude
  3. As far as I know, there aren't any production 6 strings out there with a 32" scale, never mind 16.5m spacing. I would absolutely check out ACG if I were you, potentially a little more expensive than a Marusczyk, but that's down to your spec. I've got a 31.5" 6 string with 16.5mm spacing and a fretless one on the way very soon, you're more than welcome to come check them out, the fretless should hopefully land in about a month... Cheers, Eude
  4. That sounds awesome!

    NBD ACG Krell

Splendid news! One ACG is not enough. I'm to 2 at the moment, plus 2 ACG guitars, but have another bass on the way very soon, thankfully! Eude
  7.
Selling my entire RM rig, I'm going for an Ashdown ABM 110 combo...just for convenience. Gutted it'll be going.
You looking for one of the more recent ABM NEO 1x10 combos? I've been considering doing something similar for ages, but not quite got there yet. I believe the boys at Ashdown might actually have at least one brand new one at their HQ. They were £999 new, which put me off originally though If you're not looking split new, there's an older one on Gumtree here >> https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/ashdown-abm-c110-300-bass-combo/1259589316 Looks in good condition, I'd be tempted myself, if we hadn't just had another baby! Regardless, I look forward to hearing all about it, especially how gig worthy it is, I'm still thinking about getting one Eude
  8. That is gorgeous!
  9. Congrats mate, what an incredible pair! Eude
  10.
I'll stick to my CIJ Mustang bass for now... love the colour though! I thought they would have gone for a Jaguar bass with the P/J setup (but Troy Sanders has a Sig model) or maybe a J bass with the white Dimarzio's that he played in NIN, or even a long scale Mustang.
Don't think a long scale Mustang would work without some serious redesign of the body, it'd be Neck Dive City otherwise! Eude
  11.
So... It's ready...
Holy crap!
  12.
So, I'm waiting on this with baited breath. Delivery before 6pm today. Allegedly.
Wow! So that's yours? I was drooling over that on Facebook the other day! What's the specs? Eude
  13.
I wanted something lighter coloured to compliment my fretted ziricote six.
I really can't wait to see the family photo! Eude
  14.
So... Photobucket seems to have stopped letting me share images, that's new... Imgur it is from now on then.
HOT DAMN! Thank you for switching your image hosting provider, your pictures are important to us. P.S. Off topic, but my 6 string fretless headless isn't too far away now, although you've definitely beaten me to the punch! Eude
  15. That is stunning Si! I'll bet you won't sleep till it arrives! Eude
  16.
Not long now for my incoming fretless six. Hoping to pick up on the 17th!
The pic is not working! THE PIC IS NOT WORKING! Sorry for the urgency, I'm very keen to see this Eude
  17.
It is! I was tempted to get it set up from E-C but I ended up not doing that.
Fantastic
  18.
Your wish is granted! Suitably Cheap Trick and suitably bonkers!
Wow! Is this a 32"er with a low B too? Cheers, Eude
  19.
Zilla quoted me £100 for a 2U sleeve. I've not got one at the moment because I've ended up having a Line 6 G90 in my rack.
Thanks for the update, I've managed to get hold of Zilla now too, they're very busy, which is hardly a bad thing, just waiting for a ballpark quote. If it's anywhere near the figure you've mentioned though, I'll be a happy boy. Cheers, Eude
  20.
Wooden tolex covered sleeve. I've emailed Zilla.
Hey mate, how did you get on with this? I've got an Ashdown ABM EVO II RC I would liked housed similarly too, I emailed Zilla but no heard back yet... Cheers, Eude
  21. Hey guys, I've got UK list prices for the Carvin combos now >> MB15 - £440.98 MB12 - £642.90 MB210 - £571.90 I have to say though, having read the concerns about reliability, the prospect of buying something that might well require sending back to the US in the event of a likely failure, I'm going to give it a miss. Give that you can pick up a new Markbass CMD 121H for only £50 more than the MB12, I think that's most likely the best option, unless one of those Alain Caron signature combos appears fora good price second hand... Thanks for all your input folks! Eude
  22.
Sound Unlimited are their UK dealer now.
Thank you! They're going to email me costs on the MB12, MB210 and MB15. They have the MB15 in stock, although that's the one that least appeals to me for some reason even though it's the toast of Talkbass... Eude
  23.
Probably the same. It's a Series 6, 7 Band 1x15. The narrower one with the ports under the speaker, rather than down one side. I've had it forever and have always loved it, but getting it downstairs from the flat to the car was a pain. It's probably not a fair comparison as the MB has more power, but all of the class D/lightweight vs old school things I read aren't apparent to my ears, so it's a done deal... Just need to bring myself to sell something that's given me years of sterling service... sentimental old fool!
Ah, mine must've been the Series 5 then, as the ports where to the right of the speaker. And yes, getting those bloody things up and down flights of stairs on your own is awful, it's doable, but it's not fun and will likely end badly at some point. I miss the tone, clarity and power though. As far as the old school power section of a Trace vs anything digital, I think that Trace only put out 130W officially, but I had it up against some of the early 500W Class D amps and it absolutely blew them out of the water! Lets not let this turn into a old school vs new school power section debate though Eude
  24.
Not sure, but I know they only had limited UK distribution with Bass Gear who stopped stocking them despite Phil using one himself.
Wo! This would pretty much do everything! >> https://carvinaudio.com/collections/mb-series-bass-combos/products/mb12 Eude
