1. I'm just going to leave this here... http://www.acguitars.co.uk/acg_admin/wordpress/portfolio/0241-border-reiver-5/ Eude
 2. Bump for a great bass and a true gent.
 3. Yup, it'll be 18mm, as are all of Alan's stock 5ers. Good luck with the sale mate! Eude
 4.
Do it, or wait for the Merton Signature Ashdown which I think I may have sold to Mark Gooday enough yesterday....
I repeat, we're all doomed!
 5.
when I checked the prices and used google to convert it they ran about £480 ish (give or take a bit) pretty sure it's under 500 though (plus a bit for shipping I guess) I think my piggy bank is definitely in danger! Time to try it out I think! Matt
Oh dear, we're all doomed! DOOMED! Eude
 6.
The last one for me, but with the black faceplate surround, is it possible to have a footswitch for the drive? Matt
Same for me, although I like the side mounted handle. Their bloomin website is STILL down! How much do these run for again mate? Eude
 7.
Haarrggg.... 1300 is the price i could pay..... But in euros :-)
If I could, I would mate
 8.
Thanks Ewan for your kind reply Cheers Svend
No problem, if you've got any other questions, don't hesitate to ask
 9.
beautifull bass. What is weight of the bass. ? What about the balance of the bass, does it suffer from any neck diving, playing it sitting and standing ? Al the best Svend
HI Svend, I've just weighed the bass and it's a little over 9 pounds or 4.15kg in new money. As far as balance goes, on a strap it's perfect, no neck dive whatsoever, on the lap it's a tiny bit tricky because of the smaller lower horn, but no more so than say a Warwick, and the thicker body helps compensate too. Cheers, Eude
 10. Another vote for Black here!
 11.
I'm an electric player, 5 string. The low end is good, don't know how the roll off specs compare (nowhere near the BB2), but I like the sound it produces, no lack of bass for me, but i'm not doing reggae!. I use mine with a GK MB800 ( i know it's more powerful than the Crazy 8 should handle) it sounds fine with input gain at 11 oclock and master at 12 oclock with my basses. I have the bass at 12 oclock with the crazy8, but back it off to 10 oclock with the BB2. Crazy8 takes slapping on the B string at this level. I wasn't expecting the Crazy8 to handle this as well as it does, it was bought to do restaurant gigs where i have to carry a distance. Turns out I use it in medium sized pubs with 5 piece band...electric piano, bass, drums, sax and vocals. I think the Crazy88 would be great, but weighs in at more than the BB2. The Crazy8 i have weighs 20lbs, has the newer rear port, from Tricky audio, nicely built.
Thanks for the info mate, they do sound like they're defying the laws of physics, but who said that was a bad thing Eude
 12.
I've owned an EA wizzy10 and found it had poor low end performance and farted out very early. I've owned and use BF cabs, they're great and also recently bought a Greenboy Crazy 8, which blows the EA wizzy10 out the water. The Crazy 8 exceeds all expectations i had. The BF ONE10 doesn't have a tweeter, so for my tonal preferences that's why I went for the Crazy 8
I've been reading a lot about these 'Crazy' cabs. How much low end do they actually put out? Have you tried the Crazy88 too? Oh, and finally, how good are they with electric bass, and I think they were originally intended for Double and Acoustic Bass use... Cheers, Eude
 13.
But then the side dots would be in the wrong place!
That might require a little more work, leave it with me ;-) Eude
 14.
Relieved this is a lined fretless, otherwise my bank account would be hurting right now!
I could always colour them in for you?... Eude
 15.
Love the lack of string retainer on the Tchib headstock. Looks super clean and very sexy. Love it!
Ah, it's very clever, it's actually an angled headstock, which does away with the need for the retainer and yes, it's super clean and sexy Eude
 16. Thanks guys. To me, the Tchib is more of a 'Superstrat' and the Skelf more of a chunky rock guitar. I may well tune one to B standard for some serious metal riffage though Glad you like the guitars! Eude
 17. Holy Sh1t Balls - that is gorgeous! Congrats matey Eude
