1.
Yep, I'm chief cat herder in my band. In fact I can't trust any of my lot to sit the correct way on the toilet.
:-)
 2. How many knobs on that amp!!!!!! About 23 too many for me! ;-)

Great band name too!
 4.
Not Halloween, but a zombie event in Edinburgh called "Deadinburgh", last year. It's an "interactive show" that takes place in the old Royal Veterinary School... several floors, old building, labs, corridors, a courtyard... The public gets in and the ticket box is made like a military checkpoint, with soldiers with machine guns, and various people with bright yellow suits as you'd use in dangerous biological research... They get ushered inside to be protected as "something" has happened... and they get taken to a lab, where they test whether they're infected (my lab got involved in this, essentially they get people to scrape the inside of their mouth and look at the cells under a microscope, stained with a dye so the nucleus is red... some of the dye bottles have a mix of dyes that turn part of teh cells greenish blue rather than colourless... that means they are infected and will turn into zombies!!! ) and they are taken away and made up applied to them and return as zombies (they're actors, the ones they give the different die to, pretending to be public)... and the mayhem starts... zombies attack, much running around... In the end, the "humans" get cornered into this large room... soldiers lock them in... zombies attack, a lot of fires are shot, alarms ring... smoke... the light goes off... people scream... then the alarm stops, and a voice announces "welcome to the end of the world!"... lights go up... a curtain falls on one side of the room: it's a bar! and we, the band, are upstairs and start to play. That's teh end of the show. The public have no idea there's live music at the end... It was a lot of fun. We got to do it twice.
thats brilliant!
 5.
With you being American you'll know all about "Zoot Suits"? This is how we murder that look in the good old UK. You have my sincerest apologies and see if you can spot anything really weird about the photo ( and I don't mean the costumes)!
its da wheels, boss!

 11. The brentford trilogy by Robert rankin. Another trilogy! Well a triple trilogy really, 9 books. there is a theme developing to my reading pattern!?!?! The antipope, the brentford triangle & east of ealing are the 1st three. Very funny, one reviewer said its like last of the summer wine on acid. really good acid I'd say.
 12. The Wimbledon trilogy by nigel williams. More are coming back to mind, I'm going to have to read all these again ;-)
 13.
Scoop by Evelyn Waugh is laugh out loud hilarious. The Tales of The City series by Armistead Maupin are funny/bittersweet.
+1 another good call!
 14.
'The Throwback' by Tom Sharpe immediately springs to mind...
+1 good call! All his books are funny but that one had me laughing out loud in many places.
 15. Elmore leonard later stuff, not exactly comedy but crime/thillers with a fast paced dialogue & very funny episodes. Some have been made into films, get Shorty, Jackie brown (based on book, rum punch) & TV series of maximum bob, all ok but books are better. Louis de bernieres is good too, he is better known for his 4th novel captain corelli's mandolin (he hated the film) but his First three novels are a trilogy loosely based around Columbia. Very funny, tragic & sad. The war of don emmanuels nether parts, senor vivo & the coca lord & the troublesome offspring of cardinal Guzman.
 16. Nearly dropped mine once, next day ordered a full flight case from eps. Now so heavy it will smash all in its decent if I drop it, hopefully without a scratch to the amp :-)
 17. Saw Juzzie busking on the royal mile at the Edinburgh festival a couple of years (probably more like 4 years, jeez!) ago. He's great, does it all live, no loops or backing tracks. So taken with him bought his cd.
 18. I've had one lesson with David Heyes, he was very inspiring, I'm just saving up for an upright before I go back for more! He's based in Somerset, templecombe I think? Teaches at Wells cathedral school, runs DB workshops, concerts & publishes DB centric music through his website www.recitalmusic.net Cheers, Norm.
 19. Schweeet! Already got one, so glwts! +1 for Warmed up & cranked, it will sound great. Mine has the trace green carpet covering, knurled metal knobs & a v4 badge, dont know if that makes it earlier or later than yours? Fair price for a pristine example, someone get it bought you won't be disappointed! Cheers, Norm.
