  1. Hi, would you be interested in splitting the rig, as I might be interested in the amp. Jim.
  2. If you like a bit of DIY, then build a fearful 12/6 , you will never look back. Jim.
  3. Well some of you guys came to the last one, so no excuses for getting lost. It's the retreat / ashcott inn, on the A39, nice and easy to find for those who didn't attend last year. With a bit of luck Phil Starr might be able to chime in and give the cabs a work out. This is all provisional and no dates are booked, but if someone wanted to throw some around ? Jim.
  4. Hi all, I spose I could set up something again in ashcott. Fairly equal distant between Bristol and bath, big car park and good beer. Let me know. Jim.
  5. Hi all, don't overlook the greenboy fearfull / fearless range of cabs, either can be built from light weight materials and apart from the similar barefaced cabs will pound almost everything else into the ground and still not fart out. Check out tricky audio for the fearless range, or speaker builder for the fearfull. Good luck.
  6. Well it seemed a good idea at the time, Bump.
  7. Hi everyone, well this has gone a bit quiet so i think a bump is required.
  8. Hi everyone, Yea im in, just let me know where and when. Jim.
  9. Boo, do fancy a trade for my edb550? Is was trying to hang out for this one having played it.
  10. The fearful 12/12/6/1 will give you a fantastic cab, easy to move and well sized, plus a proven record. The cab will eat 2kw if you ever needed to, tho to be honest 500 w would be stupid loud. I run a 15/6/1 plus a 15 sub when needed but the 15/6/1 is enough or 99 percent of gigs that i have ever done, its truly immense for its size and very very stong as it was built for to gigging player. The plus factor is that the plans are free and you can build them yourself, every thing is easily available. Jim.
  11. Hi bassbadger, no invite required, people just had to turn up lol. While it was only a small event with some people unable to attended it was still better than the bass guitar show! No really, there was was some beautiful instruments there and some quality amp and cabs to be honest, from that amazing little amp of woodinblacks to andys immense sounding pedals and 810 cab. If anyone wanted to know what you really needed to gig, this was the place to find it without all the marketing crap, oh and being able to talk to guys who know about there gear. Seriously, your basses were / are great value for money and thanks for brining them along for us to pull apart lol. Thanks everyone. Jim
  12. Hi everyone, A big thanks to all who turned up, it was a fair turnout. The venue lends its self well to this kind of thing, being easy to find and a big car park etc. I have to say a big thankyou to david (retrovibe) for his informal chat on the back story of his creations, ( i do however have to amdmit at being quite impressed by his basses). Anyway thanks again and see you next time, right im off to work. Jim.
  13. Hi mornats, plenty of room mate see you there. Jim.
  14. Yep, bar snacks, 3 course meals, tea coffee etc, o and beer and ciders )
