1. I'm selling this P/J set of Seymour Duncan pickups. It comprises an SPB1 Precision pickup and an SJB2 B Jazz pickup. Both pickups are in excellent condition and have plenty of wire left on them. They come with the matching screws as well. I would like £90 including UK postage. Thanks for looking
2. For sale is my Babicz 4 string bridge in chrome. It's in perfect condition and has all 5 mounting screws included. These have to be one of the best bridges ever designed, if not the best! I'm asking for £70 including UK postage. Thanks for looking

NBD ACG Krell
I must admit, I am seriously thinking about getting a Custom/Uber ACG 4 string built. I have a secondhand ACG Graft Recurve that I love but unfortunately doesn't get played much (not much call for a 5'er in my current 50s RnR band) and I have a Cort B4 that has the old style ACG filter preamp installed - which proves the staggering amount of sounds possible from it. I think it would be a J-Type but I must admit, I do like the look of the Krell. Is it any good when sitting down?

Lovely bass. In my experience the Krell sits very nicely on your lap.
Yes you're right the bass is very comfortable to play sitting down and it balances perfectly on a slippy strap too.

NBD ACG Krell
Is this it? Some nice close up photos... http://www.acguitars...o/0201-krell-4/ "Makore"... not a wood I've come across before.
Yes that's the one. I understand that Makore is a type of cherry, it does look really nice when the light catches it. The pre-amp has been changed since those photos were taken it's now fitted with an East Uni 3 stacked knobs.
5. For sale is my EWS Tri Logic preamp. It's in Perfect condition and is pedalboard ready velcro on the base. You can run this from 9v or 18v supply depending on how much extra beef you require but it will also run from 2x 9v batteries. I'm asking £85 for this excellent pedal including UK delivery. Thanks for looking
6. It's always dangerous going to see Drew at the GBBL But you know it was worth it when the rest of the band ask you if you're doing something different, because it sounds so much better than usual! I just need to decide which internal organ to sell next!
7. I'm from the era of not turning an amp on unless there is a speaker cab connected to it. So here's my silly question, can i use the Mesa D-800 amp with headphones and not need a speaker cab connected? (I presume i can but didn't want to try without checking) The manual doesn't make this clear. Cheers
8. My son recently purchased a bass flight case from Richard. I'd like to thank you for the great deal you did for him, he's really pleased. Richard is a great guy to deal with. Cheers Mark

MB1 Feedback

Met up with MB1 the other day for a roadside deal. I was wearing a trilby and had a rolled up newspaper under my arm so he could recognise me. The secret code word was used and the carrier bagged item was exchanged for cash, we both then went our separate ways. On a less serious note Martin was a great guy to deal with and i would not hesitate to deal with him again. Maybe forget the false moustache and flower on the lapel next time
10. Monday morning bump

It's in mint condition with velcro on the bottom and includes the original power supply. I'm asking for £100 including delivery within the UK. Thanks for looking.
16. I have these exact strings on my EB1 which is a medium scale bass. Lovely rounded mellow tone and they have a nice even tension (not too floppy) They felt a little grippier than i had expected but i soon got used to it and i'm really pleased i tried them.
17. Just interested in knowing if anybody has ever heard a comparison between an EBS Classic and a Reidmar head? I have the Classic 450 and like the sound very much but find the head a little cumbersome to take to weekly rehearsals and wondered if the Reidmar would be a good replacement? Cheers
18. It's worth going through the 4 steps in this series of videos. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=te44eWXd9pc
19. One of my first basses too, sounds like a 1a. Rumoured to be a dimazio pickup in those. Nice solid reliable Japanese instrument. Does sound like it's priced on the steep side to be honest. You need to see if you like playing it, it may end up being the one for you.
20. I've started buying cables from "Designacable" their on Amazon. Well made with top quality components, Prime delivery too.

Spector

NS Shorty here. I can't say enough good things about this bass, it was expensive but well worth it.
22. I purchased a set of Hipshot machine heads from Jon and couldn't be happier. Great communication, packing and speedy delivery. Items were exactly as advertised. Trade with confidence. Cheers Mark
23. Just bought a beautiful strap from Gareth. The transaction was very easy from start to finish and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Cheers Mark
24. Are there any differences between the MarkBass combo heads and the Little Mark heads, other than a lid?
