1.
I love my Markbass 410. I really cannot fault it.
I couldn't agree more but as the owner of a Smart car I can no longer transport it, maybe not so "smart" after all!
  2. For sale is my MarkBass 104-HR cab, it's an Italian made one. This cab sounds great, is in excellent condition and has never missed a beat. It comes with a padded cover too. It has a tweeter volume control and is 8ohm Heres what the blurb says. The Standard 104HR is an exceptional, professional cabinet that performs well in any club, big or small. It puts out impressive power at 800 watts and weighs only about 49 lbs. Working bassists love it for its power, high-quality sound and portability. 3. For sale is this Seymour Duncan SDPB-1 Precision bass pickup. It's in great condition and sounds lovely, mounting screws are included. Here's what SD say about the pickup. You will get just the right balance of authoritative thump and clear articulation for an authentic P-Bass feel. Our Vintage P-Bass pickup uses hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, and a vintage coil wind to deliver all of the bold, smooth tone of the late 50s Precision Bass.. I'm asking for £50 including UK postage Thanks for looking

    New Tokais

I have 2 of the new Japanese made Hard Punchers. I was so knocked out by the fit, finish, sound and playability of the first one I bought the second one the week after. One is strung with flats and the other rounds, all basses covered! Can't recommend the Japanese ones enough.
  7.
Interested, but struggling to see whether I could get away with a chrome xtender with existing (worn) gold machine heads... What did this come off?
PM'd
  8. For sale is a set of unopened Status Hotwire Strings 40-100 I'm asking £15 including UK postage Thanks for looking
  9. For sale is my Hipshot GB7 Bass Extender, now including 3 matching chrome tuners to make a 2 either side set They are in great condition and work perfectly. I'm asking £50 including UK postage Thanks for looking
  10. For sale is my Bare Knuckle "58 Split coil Precision Pickup" This is what Bare Knuckle say about this pickup. The '58 Split Coil P is based on the slightly later split coil design with flat profile, hand bevelled, Alnico V magnets arranged across two coils with opposing wind direction and magnetic polarity to cancel out hum. Scatter-wound by hand with 42AWG plain enamel wire, the tone is stronger in the bass with a more controlled high end and slightly scooped mid compared to the earlier single coil. Characteristic of the later '50s P basses, there's more output on tap for a muscular performance with exceptional punch. I'm asking for £55 including postage within the UK Thanks for looking

    NBD ACG Krell
Welcome to the ACG family.....

Welcome to the family the only trouble with ACGs is that once you pop, you can't stop. Eventually I'd like one of each model give or take haha! No 3 is currently in gestation for me - it's the funky Skelf Short Scale which has appeared in a few of Alan's videos this week
Thanks for the welcome, I'm really happy with my new bass and can see why addiction could follow!
  12. For sale is my East U-Retro Deluxe Preamp 4 knob version in black. This has been fitted in a couple of basses in the past so is in used condition but still works perfectly and sounds great! I'm would like £75 including UK postage. Thanks for looking.

    NBD ACG Krell
I must admit, I am seriously thinking about getting a Custom/Uber ACG 4 string built. I have a secondhand ACG Graft Recurve that I love but unfortunately doesn't get played much (not much call for a 5'er in my current 50s RnR band) and I have a Cort B4 that has the old style ACG filter preamp installed - which proves the staggering amount of sounds possible from it. I think it would be a J-Type but I must admit, I do like the look of the Krell. Is it any good when sitting down?

Lovely bass. In my experience the Krell sits very nicely on your lap.
Yes you're right the bass is very comfortable to play sitting down and it balances perfectly on a slippy strap too.
