1. +1 for the Spector Shorty an awesome instrument but expensive. There are lots of good shortscale basses out there these days in all price brackets.
2.
Not exactly. But I have an EBS Reidmar 750, a BB2 and a Super Midget. These cabs use the same drivers as the Supertwin. Individually and paired they make a super rig both in tone and volume. I'd imagine the Reidmar 750 paired with a Supertwin would be an excellent sounding rig. Maybe contact Alex (Barefaced owner) for advice? Frank.
Cheers Frank, good advice.
3. Yes that's what I thought! Just wondering if it's potentially too much to cope with ;-)
4. Has anyone paired an EBS Reidmar 750 with a BF Supertwin or heard this combination?
I fully agree with you. I got one recently and it is an absolute joy. I have a silver to match you Steel...
Looks great, what did you use before and how does this compare? I've yet to use mine in anger. I used to rehearse with a MarkBass 2x10 combo and for gigs I used the TTE500 with a MarkBass 4x10. On big venues I paired the combo with the 4x10, I'm hoping to be able to use this setup for all the above. This coming Saturday is my next gig where this will get its first outing.

Been messing with my new BF SuperTwin for the first time today after acquiring it from Lloyd the other day. Couldn't be happier Gas run out for now!
7. Just purchased Lloyd's Super Twin which he very kindly delivered to my house. Cabinet was exactly as advertised and his van didn't leave any marks on my new drive so couldn't be happier Nice chat with a brew too. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Cheers Mark
8. Jez bought my MB SuperBooster recently. The whole transaction went without a hitch, good communication and swift payment. Would have no hesitation in dealing with Jez again. Cheers Mark
9. I've suffered from wrist problems for around the last five years and found changing to short scale made a big difference and recently found using an EB even better. No matter what strap length or arm hand position I tried ever really made any difference.
10. I have finally realised why I find playing EB/SG style basses so much more comfortable than all the others I've ever played, it's because they lean slightly forward due to the lousy strap button positioning. This got me thinking about LGW Torzal twist basses, has anyone got any experience of playing one?
11. Hi Paul, Thanks for the bump! All PM's replied to.
12. Yes, i can confirm that the scale length is 30 3/8"
13. 30 3/8" at a guess but I'll confirm this in the morning as the bass is at my work.
14. Bump for a lovingly hand crafted instrument.
15. Eeek My year of birth bass I play short scale I'm in Manchester The stars may be aligning!
16. For sale is my beautiful short scale fretless bass made by "Prose Bass" I'm just not playing it that much anymore and it seems a shame for it to be sat in the back of the cupboard. It has lovely figured maple fingerboard but i'm not sure what the body woods are. The hardware is all Hipshot, "A" style bridge and lightweight tuners, the soapbar pickup is wired directly to a locking Neutrik jack socket. The strings are ground wound and give a great tone without chewing up the fretboard. It's very lightweight and the body shape makes it very easy to play either standing or seated. There is some buckle rash on the back of the bass but the rest of it is in fine fettle. 17. For sale is my mint condition Danelectro Longhorn. The bass is short scale with 24 frets and currently set up with some lovely flat wound strings. It's great to play and very light weight. Both Jack Bruce and John Entwistle played these in their early days! I'm asking for £250 Thanks for looking
18. I normally use 45-100 but my new Gordon Smith SG/EB came fitted with 40-95 and whilst they don't feel much different to play I couldn't believe how twangy they were, I'm still tweaking tone settings to bring them under control!
19. I'm in a similar position and have found DAddario EXL170S Short Scale Bass set (45-100) to be a good solution, slightly more tension than the super lights but still easy to manage.
20. Do you think that light gauge strings have a zingier sound that heavier gauge ones?
21. Sold my Ashbory to Mick, great communication and prompt payment. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Cheers
22. I imagine the air was blue!! What a pain.
