1. It may have had little relevance, but I don't care Relax, you'll live longer!
 2.
Excellent. It reminded me of this little story:
Haha, love that
 3.
I have found that rather than paying for tickets to watch premiership football, i can nip down the park and watch a bunch of kids playing the same game for free. I got a letter from Wayne Rooney telling me to stop supporting them as they were doing him out of a job, </fatuousjoke>
Well, it made me chuckle
 4.
Last year I played in Nottingham with a different band where we were on the door take. We got there and the promoter hadn’t bothered to publicise it at all and no one knew that there was a band playing. But then again, he didn’t stand to lose money himself so why should he bother??….
That's shady man I played a gig a few weeks ago where the agreement was £120 + 80% of door takings @ £3 entry. The place wasn't very full at all but we still walked away with £245 and got two more bookings and a hell of a lot of hype out of it!
 5.
They mess with my amp settings.
I thought that too, turns out it's my 2 year old son that does that
 6. They're the same gits that steal everyone's plectrums I bet!
 7.
There's more to life (and music) than the fee you get at the end
Totally, it's a nice bonus though
 8. I've not played the Boss one but you may be able to find decent comparisons by checking out youtube videos of people playing through either ones
 9. I spend too much on equipment and petrol to be making an actual profit from music, so I don't declare it as it would be a waste of time
 10. The Diago pedalboard are good, a bit pricey but good! It comes with a long strip of sticky backed velcro, and the base of the board has the 'furry bit' on it to stick it to. Solid as a rock, and you can jump up and down on the case when its closed without a worry. This is my one when it had more pedals in it to give you an idea. It's the 'Gigman' which is the smallest and cost me £70 new.
 11.
So it is a Bongo
12. Good advice by cloudburst there I also like to slightly loosen it before I tighten it, as I find it moves with less force once you've "got it going" so to speak.
 13. That's strange... It IS a Bongo, but the top horn looks out of shape... In fact the whole body does... Inlays are all wrong... And the angles that the strings go towards the tuning pegs from the nut looks all wrong... But then again, maybe the fact that you asked if it's real has put doubt in my mind
 14. That sounds bizarre! Glad they've got to the bottom of it though, and I hope you get your amp back soon. Hey, this thread may help someone else someday
 15.
However my friend has a svt 3pro which was used with my 810 and I was loving the sound completely
Sounds like you already made your mind up, but just want somebody to reassure you... Do it!
 16.
If you play for a living then you are in business providing a service All forms of small bussiness have major forces to contend against to survive A carpenter can complain that someone's handy mate helped fit a kitchen for beer money, causing him to lose the job A printer/graphic designer can complain about modern software and home printers A photographer can complain about hobbyists doing parties and weddings And so on
Fair point really. If you're good enough people will still pay! I've had players from successful local bands ask me for advice on how to get some money from gigs I said "Just ask for it"
 17. I've never been used to making money from gigs really... It's not why I got into music! Though to be honest when I was approached to join a covers band my first thought was "Ooh, the guys on basschat get money for doing covers!", so me joining was partially motivated by that! Though to be honest, I expected to be picking up anything from £0 - £20 per gig, and having a good time doing it. Pleasantly surprised to be receiving a cut of up to £50 and sometimes above so soon into the gigging! I have such a great time that I wouldn't have minded doing it for free, but I'm so USED TO getting money now that I'd be less likely to do a gig that wasn't paid.... (probably still would though )
 18.
You can make almost any bass sound like almost any bass anyway, the importance of the inherent tone of a bass is largely complete bollocks. Feel and looks are another matter, and they are very important.
Couldn't agree with this more!
 19. I've played a Cort A6 and was very impressed! They're very solidly built and sound great especially recorded. You could do much worse! They still sell for about £800?
 20.
Lets face it though, unless The Terrortones get really big we're unlikely to be inspiring anyone to form a tribute band, and if we'd reached that level of popularity they hardly be a threat. Besides any band playing our songs are generating PRS performance royalties for us. Money without even doing anything. Bargain!
Haha a sensible answer to a silly question!
 21.
Nov 1st. It's a monthly event they hold. Ill get some more details for you!
Ahh no way! I'm gigging somewhere else that night! I'll catch one !
 22.
A lot of Steve's sound is from hitting the strings both really hard and 'down' (in towards the pickups). That way they get that clacky sound, I think they hit the last fret in a similar way to when you slap. Try it, it's easy to do once or twice but you'll spend a lifetime trying to do it every time at that speed.
Nah, just takes strength, endurance, practice, and lowering the action helps (but not too much or you'll choke the notes!)
 23. They really are that good! Don't let the low price fool you
 24.
I guess it's more of a direct promotional tool that a music video. But we'll call it a music video to sound much cooler
A music video IS a promotional tool, so youre doing alright You're based in Nottingham right? I've got a few buddies living out there who would really be into what you do!
