The DSR were updated and bought into the newish Consumer Rights act and regulations, both bought in in 2015. So they dont exist anymore on their own, but the same or better protections exist under the new regs.

Most amps have the loop after the preamp section so that's all good. Beyond that - depends on what you like. I prefer phaser in front of the amp, but flanger in the loop, just like I do on guitar. So if the BDDI and the LMB3 are always on you can put them on the top row with the tuner leaving the ones you do have to switch a lot on the bottom. You just need longer patch cables to keep the same signal path.

You won’t ever sight read a new tune at a gig. Put the time in at home and you’ll be fine. You’ll get used to playing in just about everything other than E and 4/4 as well.

Yes - you'll just have to cut the pickup end of the solderless cable and connect it up that way. Some people solder directly onto the pins of the preamp but if that goes wrong you've ruined the preamp. Far better to do the modification to the cable as that is the cheap bit.

CF is very strong but it is directional. Can be almost indestructible from one angle and weak as paper in another. I'm just about ready to buy one of the new material Mark Bass cabs - I have no idea what they are made from and MB are being protective of the details. But I'm excited to try!
