1. After trying a loads of mics out last year I bought the TC Helicon 75. Lovely thing, and really suits my voice.
2. I have have a status where I installed Seymour quarter pounders in it, and it sounds brilliant. Far better than it was.
3. That's interesting. My Demeter has loads more welly than my Genz.
4. Lovely! Stick some La Bella Black Nylons on it and use the piezo for some ace almost DB sounds.
5. I'm after a nice swirly thing. But, I do not want "Jaco" chorus or "Jeff Berlin" chorus or any of that over used cliche type of thing. So, what's good these days?
6. If you are going to order online, do check Thomann prices. Sometimes they are significantly cheaper.
7.
+1 on the Kinsman. I saw this site mentioned as well; www.kablonline.com
I get mine (and other cables) from Kabl. The chap that makes them is a regular on The Fretboard. Always good stuff.
8. Never tried a Moog - now I must!
9. I have them both - but I use them the other way round to Kev! Awesome things.
10. I wonder if they'll do a combo version. That would be cool. I will bitch and moan about the US -v- UK price for ages. And then I'll end up buying one. As usual.
11. Rob Allen Mouse 30
12. It's Westside Distribution. They set the UK pricing. At £739 the shop price is likely to be £699 - much like the Genz Streamliner / Shuttle 900W models were. So - anyone know how much the Genz stuff was in the US? Just for comparison?
13. I'd love to buy it, but I need to raise a few pennies first!
14. I use my iPhone with Amplitude via a line 6 Sonic Port for headphone practice, but I'm not a fan of eating my phone battery when I might need it. So the Big Head has caught my eye. Is it any good? Worth getting for headphone practice? Is is super clean or has it got a bit of grit? Ta
15. For Sandberg pricing it's far better to go to a German dealer. I got my California TT4 passive with ebony board, matching headstock and pearl block inlays for £920 ish.
16. Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. I love it but smeg it's hard work Habanera -Bizet. The notes are easy. So easy and dull it causes narcolepsy. Which in turn throws the timing off and makes it suck. I'm sure there are more.
17.
I'm running a Boss tuner, Boss overdrive, a Sansamp BDDI, Sansamp VT Bass DI and a Morley ABY. I'm planning on adding a chorus, but no rush. They're all 9v and the PSU outputs at that voltage. No issues. I suppose if/when it carks out, I'll simply replace it like for like. Still can't see the point in spending any more.
Until you get a Digitech Whammy which needs 1300ma and won't even turn on with that power supply. Or an Empress delay pedal. Horses for courses as always. I've got the Gigrig set up because of some high current pedals. For ages I used a Voodoo Labs PP2 for the 9V low current pedals and then separate power supplies for the really thirsty ones, but it took up too much space on the board.
18. I'm hoping they've ripped off the Demeter power amp!
19. That is brilliant!
20.
Weighs in at 3.5kg ...
Wow! That is light.
21. Don't want to play a 14lb bass for a two hour show?
22. Cool. I'd love a new little combo. And both of these 1x12 weigh about the same as my Berg neo cab alone. I'll have to find someone with both in stock to try them.
23. Obviously is the fan noise is too much then it will suck.
