  1. I always leave feedback for everyone, although not everyone leaves feedback in return, I still think its a nice thing to do.
  2. I love to to play with others. Even if its only a rehearsal I still get a kick out of it. If I'm dossing about at home then I get my acoustic guitar and strum on that. unless I really need to work a bass part out I seldom play the bass at home.
  3. This happened to me recently at a gig! 😢 We do Lenny Kravitz 'Go My Way' and if you know the song you will know there is a little bass lick before the guitar solo. Mind blank Cue complete silence from the bassist who pretended to fiddle with his guitar lead and eventually came back in. 😂
  4. I would love a 1964 YOB Precision. Especially one in the same nick as therealting's beauty. But I couldnt justify spending all that money on something I would never take to gigs. My band play mainly pub gigs at the Dog And Duck etc. I have a nice MIM P Standard and a bitsa which I could (sort of) afford to have beer thrown over it.
  5. Joining a Shadows tribute band not an option then? 🤣
  6. Jennings himself was the bass player in Buddy Holly's band. He gave up his seat on the plane exactly 60 years and three days ago. 😞
  7. Actually he said "Needle And Pins" It climbed to 197 in the Herne Bay top 200 🤣
  8. Isnt there two Searchers doing the rounds? I remember reading there was a disagreement over the name, so it got a bit silly.
  9. Rip It Up - Little Richard and countless others. Rip It Up - Orange Juice
  10. Oh I didnt know that! Am I in trouble?? 😢😫

  12. I do agree about They Shall Not Grow Old. He worked wonders with that 100 year old grainy WW1 footage. It will sell though. Anything Beatles related usually sells.
  13. Following the arrival of Jackson’s new film, a restored version of Lindsay-Hogg’s Let It Be will also be released. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/peter-jackson-beatles-movie-let-it-be-786380/
  14. True dat. 😋 Weller started out as Pete Townsend and morphed into Steve Marriott shortly thereafter. 😊
  15. Skiffle did that 20 years before punk came along. 'Oh! Where's me washboard!' 🤣
  16. We do this one. We dont actually bother with that bit, we just start it off with the drums on their own. We thought it was a bit naff anyway. 💩
  17. I took a big gouge out of my brand new Mexican Standard P Bass on its first ever gig. 😢 It was a lovely sparkly Lake Placid Blue. Luckily enough, it was just behind the forearm cutaway so its not immediatly visible to anyone who cares.
  18. You cant beat Space 1999 for some classic 70's Wackacha' pedal. No idea who the bassist was. Carol Kaye done some TV themes.
  19. So did the notorious Antipodean kiddie fiddler who's name we cant mention.
  20. We are going to cover A Kind Of Magic in my band. I never really gave it much of a listen before we gave it a run through. I just assumed it was just that A - A - A - F# - E - F# riff was the bulk of the song. However, JD throws in a lot of fills and runs which I never picked up on before. Got it down to a tee now. 😋
