Just got my VM Jazz back from my tech following a setup, and to have the nut re cut. He suggested that I upgrade the pots, as they are rather crackly and a bit cack. He also says the there is a bit of a kick at the top of the neck! Not wishing to appear an idiot, I just nodded. What did he mean by this??

Wow! nice compliments Yes, I did nearly fluff the ending, but a bit of eye contact with the drummer saved it for me. Cheeky run eh? I,ll have another listen. No I havent played this before but I have heard them play a few times, so I just trotted out some cliched root third fifths and some scales, nothing complicated

Went to see an old friend who sings and plays a bit of Jazz and Swing in a small club the other weekend, although its not my sort of thing. When the other musicians found out I played a bit of bass they insisted on calling me up to play a few numbers. After a few pints of Stella I agreed, and attempted the old standard L O V E.
