  1. Very good condition, a little swirling but no chips. Was velcroed on the bottom, but I removed that and cleaned the base with alcohol so now looking very clean. No box or bits, which is how I bought it. I'll pop it into a suitable box for postage. £25 posted in the UK
  2. It was ? Fair enough, I remember the Customs as definitely not bolt on, but I may have got confused. Thanks for the correction.
  3. The NS2000/4 is neck-through. I think only the Legend Customs were a neck-through design, if that's something you want to bear in mind. (May not be right...see below !) I bought an NS2000/4 recently and it's a lovely bass. Very pleased with it, although I replaced the pickups in mine.
  4. That is very nice indeed. Very nice. Indeed.
  5. I'd get the Gotoh, for the groovy reason and also you'll always wonder about what difference the Gotoh would have made and end up buying one anyway. That may must be me though

    True bypass

It's not true bypass, no. I also think it changes the tone when bypassed, but I've only noticed at home, not at volume.
  7. Actually, I don't even know who it is playing the bass in that clip...care to enlighten me ?
  8. Yep, me too. In as much as I was aware of it, think I'd assumed it was a guitar playing the more audible high end stuff.
  9. This is now sold. MXR Bass Distortion Pedal Very good condition, a bit of swirling to the finish here and there but no chips. Includes box and paperwork. £60 including postage to UK. Thanks for looking.
  10. No, it's naval resin. Takes a lot of belly button pushing garner enough for a whole ramp. "There are fields, Neo.....endless fields..."
  11. RSC, baby. He really is that good.
  12. Indeed, I think he's more convincing than I'd be !
  13. Sold a Boss bass chorus to Colin. Just to echo the above - a lovely chap to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.
  14. And how could we forget Patrick Stewart playing a Chapman Stick in 'Dune' ?
  15. The 'bass player' (Cynthia Myers ?) seems to do a reasonable impression of 'strumming' her bass at the beginning, but it all falls apart from there Not the worst example from the film, but being a Russ Meyer film some of the others are somewhat NSFW.
  16. Sold a Aguilar MM pickup to Mark. Just echoing the sentiments above, he's a pleasure to deal with. Don't hesitate to do business with him if you get the chance.
  17. Yep, me too. I can't abide them.
  18. Using her allegations of abuse at the hands of Ryan Adams is pretty darn low in this context. If you don't like her music or opinions, fine...but don't try and discredit her by dragging in your opinion of her very serious allegations against him.
  19. Perhaps lowering your strings and not your expectations would help ? It sounds OK to me, but I'm not a P-bass player. If it's clank you want then a bit more string-fret noise might be what's missing. I know if there's not some of that going on with my basses I think they sound a bit lifeless. YMMV
  20. That is really rather lovely. I'll not say it's worth the wait, but.....wow. I mean, WOW
  21. I'm going to send a link to this thread to Phoebe Bridgers.
  22. Which sound meter is best for metal ? First question's free buddy, then I have to charge.
  23. Well, it gives me an excuse to post some actual research on the subject https://www.researchgate.net/publication/289502743_Testing_the_accuracy_of_smartphones_and_sound_level_meter_applications_for_measuring_environmental_noise Once a librarian......
