  1. It will always depend on what kind of gigs you do, what kind of set-up you like and how much money you have to spend. If you're a amateur playing the odd gig here and there you're going to have a different approach to a pro who plays big, well-organised gigs. There's never been a one-size-fits-all solution to how you get heard, modelling amps, FRFR, IEMs, etc. are unlikely to change that.
  2. So it seems...
  3. If your amp's moving forward maybe some duct tape would help ?
  4. I had a Warwick Streamer STD and replaced the pickup with a Bartolini and it very much improved the output and tone. The STD was a passive bass, but it's an upgrade you might want to consider.
  5. A cold case.... ....in the hottest spot north of Havana 🔎
  6. Rico has, in my mind anyway, always been a gangster, there with his entourage. It was one of his gang who killed the lights and afterwards they made sure that "Nobody said nuffin'". Perhaps Rico even paid off the local police... All this this from 3 verses.
  7. I'd always thought that Tony had been shot by Rico, although there is ambiguity about what happened to Tony (jailed, executed or shot dead). I'd always imagined Rico getting away with it scot-free, being the high-rolling gangster he was. The cad.
  8. Lovely bass, and indeed light for a Sabre. GLWTS
  9. I love the Microbass II, been using it live and at home for recording for years. I'm really surprised that they've left out the Speaker Sim to be honest, I think it's great.
  10. Most of those sound like the usual heinous BS that most companies have in their mission statement. I'm surprised they weren't leveraging and pivoting more Oh, and yes, the company looks an awful lot like a scam.
  11. I've heard he's born to the roll.
  12. Which amp ? The only fanless set-up is what I have going at home, which is an EBS Microbass II running into a 100W power amp. It's very quiet (and also not very loud) hence my interest in slightly more elegant solutions to a fanless amp.
  13. Sold Dan my MXR Bass Distortion. Lovely guy to deal with, nice prompt payment. Class act.
  14. Nice amp. I envy the lack of cooling fan noise....and the tone !
  15. Boom Tish.
  16. Interesting, what make and model is it ?
  17. Going to be waaay too expensive for me, but the white one is a lovely-looking bass.
  18. Use your own judgement.
  19. Yes, I have a TE head with no fan for just this reason. Aside from older stuff like this, are there any modern heads that are fanless ?
  20. I think he's playing some kind of condiment.
  21. I think the most annoying thing you can say to a musician is "It's not all about you"
  22. Not always a realistic approach for home practice when one is concerned about not annoying neighbours, which is when I find fan noise most distracting.
