1. my fender cowpoke's been languishing in its case for a year or two as the less-than-amazing preamp had been playing up - crackles and hissing a-plenty. i had considered selling it but the preamp problems put me off. so rather than gassing for a fender p, i decided to take the bull by the horns and mod the cowpoke. i had some ebay funds in paypal so i splashed out on a wizard pickups 'area 51' pickup and a precision wiring loom - i never use the bridge jazz pickup so i just didn't wire that in at all - just straight passive single-pickup action. firstly - what a pickup ! very powerful and with lots of definition - the folks at wizard haven't disappointed (although the warnings on the box about 'very strong magnets' did cause some trepidation !). the wiring loom works a treat (cts pots and a sprague cap). all it needs now is a bit of a set-up and i'm going to be using it at next-week's band practice. it sounds mint....
 2. sold webby my kent armstrong jazz pickup. proper gent to deal with, wouldn't hesitate to do business with again. nice one
 3. pics added, and a slight rethink on the price.

 5.
Haha, apart from ruthlessly hunting down every Post-Rock group I can possibly find to get into, I've actually avoided even listening to Godspeed for years, and I couldn't tell you why either. I did have 'Mono', 'Gregor Samsa' and 'red sparowes' (who I saw last sunday) in mind when I was typing that paragraph though.
godspeed are good, but you kindof only need one album... they're a beautiful, fleet-footed pony, but with just the one trick.
 6.
Pure Post-Rock with a string section, 2 guitars, bass and a ton of reverb and delay pedals. Songs would all be 12 minutes long minimum and most would just have one crescendo that is built up to for the first two thirds of the track. LOADS of tremolo guitar playing (reverb essential).
you mean you want to join godspeed ?
 7. bought this as much out of curiosity as i've always been very impressed with the other joe meek stuff i've tried. this is an amazing compressor - the best, but i just don't use compression that much, so as part of the slow clear-out it has to go. i'll get some pics up tomorrow (the camera's in the bedroom, and girlfren's asleep....sshhh), but it's in great nick, comes with box, manual and original power supply. i'm asking what i paid for it, plus postage(signed-for delivery) which is [s]£150[/s] £140 bank transfer please, unless you want to pay paypal fees.

He has continued to flourish, but, and here's the rub, he has started to believe his own press and now thinks he is the bees knees.
aww prafessah 'iggins, wot 'ave you dun ?

 17.
It'd be cool to nail the tones, fair enough. But a great contribution to your bass parts would be adopting Macca's style and phrasings, in other words, putting the 'McCartney' head on for the evening. Just my 2p T
great idea and don't forget to give it the 'macca thumbs aloft' anytime there's a camera around.
 18. a always shed a tear for my black & maple fender precision...

 20. blimey, why don't you talk to them before you get annoyed. do you want an ulcer ?
