7.
+1 brilliant pedal, very much a swiss army knife. Full, switchable control over Highs, Lows and Mids, a nice clean DI and a good switchable distortion circuit to boot. They go cheap too.
stoppit ! you're starting to persuade me !
 8. and there i was watching an 8-string on ebay... i'm getting octave string gas
 9.
Hey Phil, ...and yeah I'd love something that did eq plus distortion...
how about the mxr m80 ? it's got eq and distortion plus a few other goodies too.
 10.
Why is this a bass specific pedal exactly? Its just a semi parametric eq, so why the bass reference.... Just wondering, I'm sure its a great solution, I just dont understand the name.
iirc the low frequency sweep goes lower on the bass model than the guitar model.
 11.
Yeah he's a top player but come on man there's not a video on YouTube that doesn't have some retard trolling it.
don't use the word 'retard' - it's not nice. use a grown-up british word like 'shithead' or 'f**kwit"

 18.
This the one that went for a similar price on ebay a few months ago? Was tempted to go for it, but was put off as i was worried it would be no good with bass or else i would have heard of it!
no, i've had this one for quite a few years, but sold to joe pending the pendulino. btw - i'v found the instructions !
 19. great-sounding valve overdrive pedal...mains-powered for full-plate voltage fun there are a couple of issues with this pedal: it can be a little microphonic at high gains. the pots are a little crackly although fine when set. the original footswitch as been replaced with a sturdier one (not by me) and as the fascia is at an angle, you do need a decent tap to get it to switch over. it's fitted with the valve it came with - a 12ax7, but you can try other models like a 12au7 if you want less gain - i have and it's worth trying if you want to fine-tune the sound. no instructions or info, but i'll pack it up well and send it to you, signed for royal mail for the princely sum of £35.
 20. NO LONGER FOR SALE
 21.
Fans in amps are one of my pet hates. And they get noisier and noisier the older they get
with you on that - i don't run any amps in my practise room with fans...eventually they drive me mad. the fan in my gp7 150w head was quite noisy.
 22. well done mano.
 23.
I know I say exactly the same thing every time John Giblin gets mentioned, but his playing on "Babooshka" has got to be my favourite bass part ever. Pure class. What a superb player. Kate's a f***ing genius too.
plus the one !
 24.
I've seen clips of Metallica and John Entwhistle on you tube with distortion on their alembic basses and sound does noting for me at all and makes me wonder why you would do that to such a great natural sounding instrument.
because you like the sound ?
