2.
In which case the list is majorly off putting to anyone curious.
i think the warwick custom shop generally comes under 'if you need to ask how much, you can't afford it' !
 3.
you the man, those things have a million uses
i supoose king-size ones are for basses with very thick nuts... ...i mean, what else are they for ?
 4. bump before ebay
 5.
Yep, that works for me too.
it's what the switch is for...after all.
 6. cool. nice to see the mixture rose to the occasion.
 7.
personally? I'd put as much work in as I could without compromising the rest of my life.
plus the one.
 8. i don't turn on the radio to hear people talk.
 9.
At the risk of being accused of unwelcome thread resurrection, might I cast your mind back to 1990... something... The Tangier Flandria Hotel and Planet Gong's 'Floating Anarchy'? The Terror!
pales into insignificance beside the nik turner albums you brought along.
 10. the neck pickup on a jazz is louder cos thst's the one you're meant to use. it's like a clue
 11. bought from ogreenyo here about 3 months ago, pretty much as new condition £35 posted. i don't have the original box or paperwork, but i'll find a box to post it out. i'll chuck in the funky rubber surrounds so you can tweak the knobs with your feet mid-performamce direct transfer prefered or meet in central london
 12.
Mastotron. ouch.
loved mine, but the settings of the sub switch either gave too little bass or far too much (sorry it's that's heresy !)
 13.

buy this and stand a long way away from it.
 14. is he practicing for a the next london bass guitar show ?
 15. i wondering a very similar thing about my thunderbird pro - i've a spare glockenklang preamp and was looking at fitting it,but the attached boards are too deep
 16.
If my Thunderbird sells and this is still here I'll be in touch. That's a really nice bass.
that it is, and james is a gent
 17. the article's worth it for this pic alone. archetypal "dad being cool" pose. genius.
 18.
I'd drop the Bass Doc a PM about the plate - he made me one recently for another bass & it's great! That was the bridge I bought - I think it's a copy of the Gotoh 301. The Westone bridge screw holes at the back are Fender spacing this bridge covers over the two non-standard holes at the front. Cheers, B.
right then - one bridge about to be ordered. thanks so much for all your help.
 19.
The chrome one looks good on mine. If you're into black then it would be worth having a 3-ply scratchplate made up - I did & it looks great!
just what i was thinking where did you get your scratchplate made ? btw - that link you posted - is that the exact model you bought ? i'm after the dimensions and hole spacing. thanks.
 20.
I swapped the original out for a cheap Gotoh copy from eBay & it was a big improvement - perfect fit & much more solid.
i was wondering about a gotoh - i've got one on another of my basses and like them a lot, but they are pricey...so thanks for the tip. now...black or silver ?
 21.
It was that one - nice!
thanks i'm in two minds about the bridge - get a beefier one to help with the weight of the neck, or keep it old skool.
 22. well, my bass arrived, but about 6pm - the citylink bloke said he'd been running late all day good luck to those still waiting.
 23. here's the ebay auction for some better pics !
 24. arrived this afternoon - a lovely westone concord (sorry for the ropey pic - it's raining, so i couldn't take anything outside) bought this from t'bay last sunday as a birthday present to myself - i was surprised i was the only bidder, even tho it's a bit tarnished. looks 100% original, even perhaps the strings which were actually green - made me feel a bit pukey playing it ! so a brand new set of status strings went on, action lowered by a mile (may need truss rod work, but i'm waiting a day or two for that) sounds lovely - very p-bass. a bit neck-heavy, but so was my old westone thunder iirc. i may need to replace the bridge, as the allen bolts are so gunky they're hard to use. be a shame tho
