2. seeings as there's no jag in the list, i'll take a tlele please bob
 3.
Turns out it was just a diode on the +5v power supply rail. Easy fix really.
/crowd goes wild/ well played that man !
 4.
See your point buddy, but most of the time people who haven't been given the free choice will just be content with what they've got.
i don't agree with that generalisation, but that's not the point of this thread.
 5. my midiverb three (which i loved to pieces) went to the big rack in the sky because of a power problem. iirc the 9v AC supply is rectified after coming into the unit - maybe one of the caps or diodes has gone ? sorry - i know you say you've checked the components, but this is where i'd start my peering. g'luck !
 6.
The real issue is the idiots who choose to live near a pub or venue that has live bands, and then complain about it
i think that's a bit unfair. it assumes that everyone has a free choice as to where they live (which they don't) and also if a pub decides it wants to put on live music when they haven't before it leaves the local residents with a source of noise they may not have bargained for.
 7. i'd also be interested in something jazz-shaped as a trade - i'm after a stunt bass for taking along to gigs as a stand-in for my beloved fender jazz.
 8.
But when I worked for firms, I avoided taking a Bass or Guitar case to work whenever possible. theres always some wag who has to call out 'Give us a tune then' or some other wiity line they think you never heard before. Just gets tiresome after a bit.
the one reason i wouldn't want to take (take folks, not bring...we're British dammit !! ) a bass to work...
 9. interested in a epiphone thunderbird pro at all ?
 10. might be worth a try but i don't recall ever seeing any there.
 11. you'll be after something like this ebay or johnny shredfeak would be worth checking.
 12.
This Rat's one of the original Rat IIs - I think the current one has a slightly different circuit. Yeah there was a bit of a low-end loss but nothing a bit of EQ can't solve. If you shove a load of bass into it sounds ace imo
if it sounds good, then it is good !
 13.
Aye Reich !..... That'll be a double positive then! http://www.gumtree.c...-hess/107184331 Made me laugh out loud!
punned up for ya
 14. glad you like the rat II on bass, to me there was far too much bottom end loss. the rat II was better imho
 15. the other items for sale make an intersting 'through the keyhole' round up...stethoscope & penis enlarger anyone ? makings of a nice quiet night in there.
 16. i had a 410T - it cut through like billy-o and i reckon you could have heaved it down some stairs and it would have come out no worse for wear. a steal at this price.
 17.
Forgive me if im missing something here...but is this an Epihone,Tokai or Gibson build?!
you're not missing something....i am ! the word 'epiphone' listing amended - thanks for pointing it out.
 18. it's time to move the black beast of rock on bought last year from dc2009, i've only had this out of the house a few times so it's pretty much as i bought it, except for moving the strap button to the back of the neck. it's a little worn, and i've taken photos of the worst dinks: the two on the body on the upper and lower bouts where the finish is flaking off the upper fretboard edge the two holes where the strap button(s) were) everything else works fine, [s]except there's a slight crackle to the pickup balance pot.[/s] fixed you see the pics here included in the sale is an epiphone fitted hardcase, which is like-new. i'm looking for [s]£250[/s] [s]£235[/s] £160 for the bass, case, and a extra long leather strap from bear straps (like this'n) i'm not shipping this item - you can collect it from me in tottenham, meet in london, or i am prepared to deliver the bass within reasonable train travel of london..
 19. i got the vast majority of my guitar knowledge from 'the guitar handbook' by ralph denyer. it's not all useful (too much info on 'classic guitarists' and really basic electronics imho), but the theory's sections are great. that and the first few blur albums where the chords were written with the lyrics were how i learned to play guitar
 20.
...but if the internet is to be believed...
21.
I think not.Wiggery.
plus the one.
 22.
3 tone sunburst.
no, it's the wrong colour. it should be black
 23. 1 applied and got into a glen branca perfromance band a few years, but bottled it in the end...i really regret that. i think that was 50 guitarists and 8 bass players. if this was near me i'd go for it.
