    my midiverb three (which i loved to pieces) went to the big rack in the sky because of a power problem. iirc the 9v AC supply is rectified after coming into the unit - maybe one of the caps or diodes has gone ? sorry - i know you say you've checked the components, but this is where i'd start my peering. g'luck !

    i'd also be interested in something jazz-shaped as a trade - i'm after a stunt bass for taking along to gigs as a stand-in for my beloved fender jazz.

    i had a 410T - it cut through like billy-o and i reckon you could have heaved it down some stairs and it would have come out no worse for wear. a steal at this price.

    it's time to move the black beast of rock on bought last year from dc2009, i've only had this out of the house a few times so it's pretty much as i bought it, except for moving the strap button to the back of the neck. it's a little worn, and i've taken photos of the worst dinks: the two on the body on the upper and lower bouts where the finish is flaking off the upper fretboard edge the two holes where the strap button(s) were) everything else works fine, [s]except there's a slight crackle to the pickup balance pot.[/s] [b]fixed[/b] you see the pics [url="http://www.flickr.com/photos/12528339@N05/sets/72157630665736766/"]here[/url] included in the sale is an epiphone fitted hardcase, which is like-new. i'm looking for [s]£250[/s] [s]£235[/s] £160 for the bass, case, and a extra long leather strap from bear straps (like [url="http://www.bearstraps.com/#%21__classic-2"]this'n[/url]) [b]i'm not shipping this item[/b] - you can collect it from me in tottenham, meet in london, or i am prepared to deliver the bass within reasonable train travel of london..

    i got the vast majority of my guitar knowledge from 'the guitar handbook' by ralph denyer. it's not all useful (too much info on 'classic guitarists' and really basic electronics imho), but the theory's sections are great. that and the first few blur albums where the chords were written with the lyrics were how i learned to play guitar

    1 applied and got into a glen branca perfromance band a few years, but bottled it in the end...i really regret that. i think that was 50 guitarists and 8 bass players. if this was near me i'd go for it.
