After the end of the world, when all that remains are cockroaches and peavey bass amps... ...two of the cockcoaches will still be arguing about this.
2.
....just very very mediocre once the drum/bass novelty has worn off.
I'm afraid this is just what I think of Royal Blood. It's novel that they do what they do with bass and drums, but what they do is just.... ...boring.
3. I'd say it depends entirely on the band and the gig, there are no hard and fast rules.
4.
With my rudimentary understanding of such things; if I place the new power supply as close as possible to the G50 receiver and keep the power cable as short as possible then I should notice no detrimental effects?
Short cables help, and you can wind the power cable through a ferrite choke like this to help supress noise. They're not as good as the wired-in type, but they will help somewhat.
5.
To take this query a little further: The line 6 power supply has a plastic lump between the transformer and the tip. Does anyone know what this is? Main reason for asking is that I'm planning my new pedal board and looking at potential power supply options and didn't know if losing this plastic lump might cause issues?
It's most likely a ferrite bead to block high frequency noise entering your pedal via the power supply.
6.
Exactly, I think we should send someone to stand outside the airport in the rain until there is some more info? "this just in....nothing actually".
And roll out some 'experts' to give their opinion.... /looks at thread/ oh...
7.
Actually, the problem is the meaning my wife invests it with,
Aaaah, now then.....that's a problem only you can deal with !
8. I like being a musical numptie - all these things I never need to worry about
9. All this bluster with no facts... Its like listening to LBC
10.
MMmmmmmmmm, stripboard. Are you having the 'original' 308 chip in there by any chance?
Yes - I believe Mark uses 308s in all his Rat-styled pedals Here's the lastest pic
11. Being concerned about not looking like a 'hipster' or being trendy is just as bad as following a trend - you're letting what you think other people will think about you dictate what you wear. Wear what you like...it's just a hat, unless you invest it with more meaning...
12.
Lol - just stumbled on this while searching for something else. That really was a cracking bass. The specs are exactly that. One of the best basses I've owned, and one I regret selling!
I've actually performed a bit more swaperoonie on it - I swapped the neck with my 'stunt jazz' a white squier CV jazz bass...purely on the superb playabliity of the jazz neck on the precision that you used to own. Blimey - it's a bit confusing to keep track now !
13. Absolutely would have loaned him my bass for the rest if his show, if, as Geoham mentioned above, they seemed like nice chaps. Not everyone can afford back-up equpiment nor the means to move it around...imagine having to sit our your own band's set due to a technical problem...?
14. You could use an LS-2 and then stick a pedal you know inverts phase in one of them loops - I've used a EHX LPB-1 for this a few times.
15. What ? There are loons on the internet ? Never !
16. A couple more sneak previews, first the board and undercoated enclosure (with some accidental added sparkle !) And here after a dark base coat - some lovely topcoat
17.
Right, thats sorted then. Now, answer the polar bear question please...........
easy, polar bears don't have feet to get cold, they have paws
18.
" This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken. "
The supermaket wanted their trolley back !
19. Down from 10 to 5.
20.
Once you plug into the input the power is switched on and will stay on until you unplug it again. The input socket is also the on / off switch. The bypass switch only bypasses the signal, not the power.
Yep, the pedal's busy distorting/delaying/chorusing even when the effects not engaged. The sound of flanged silence !
21.
It's a comb. The seller obviously wants to part with it .
Tres bon Raymond
22. Hehehe...brilliant.
23. Whaddya mean ? You've got a shopping trolley...and there's nothing dodgy about that now, is there ? http://www.ebay.co.u...t-/161437134890
24. Bought a Bright Onion Looper pedal from Matt, arrived very well packaged and just as described. Many thanks
25. Here's the artwork for my Bad MFKR - a bass Rat with a multitude of switching options (including a variable Ruetz mod - the 'lube') and a clean blend. Mark at Butterfly Effect has been very helpful so far, discussing the various switching options and the colour scheme. More updates as I get them - pretty excited about this
