  1. I think I've got tickets for them later in the year, I'll have to have a look...
  2. Personally I’d either go for a four string with an octave pedal or a pitch shift pedal to drop everything a semitone - unless it was a studio gig.
  3. NICE!!!
  4. I’ve got one for my 17 year old iPad- plugs into the headphone jack then plug your bass and headphones into the adaptor and run your software (I use GarageBand on there) - useful practice tool. Mine doesn’t ‘shake’ though!
  5. For me, Ric necks should ideally follow the radius and dimensions of Jazz bass necks. I love everything about the sound of Rics, I just find them too skinny!
  6. Guns in the sky - INXS
  7. Shunt that 'bucker up by the neck joint then we'll talk... 😄
  8. The Wedding List - Kate Bush
  9. Popped my flats back on my p bass (augmented with a mud bucker a la Billy Sheehan) today - got a gig coming up that needs a more ‘vintage’ vibe - and the amount of low end through the ‘bucker is IMMENSE!! Such a huge difference from my usual rounds!!
  10. The Wreckers - Rush
  11. SUCH a great vocalist - check out this track on Hospital Records...
  12. Neither; even Jaco needed four!!
  13. The Greeting Song - RHCP
  14. He kept asking Moon, Townsend and Daltry to pull them!
  15. Glory Box - Portishead
  16. Starf***ers, Inc. NIN
  17. God Hates Us All - SSSSLLLLAAAAAAAYYYYYEEERRRRR!!!!!
  18. Ya Mama - The Pharcyde
  19. Dunno, technically it’s not allowed, but it could be argued that it’s essential; have you ever used an unshielded fuzz pedal? I don’t recommend it!
  20. You're thinking of 'Squirt-it'...
  21. Speed Is The Key - The Sugarcubes
  22. Generally a lower action helps, as does sliding into the note slightly.
  23. Just as a side note - any compressor will add noise to your signal.
