  1. I have one too - it’s the blue one in the Haynes Bass Manual - wonderful bass. That big humbucker is a beast!
  2. The classic replacement bass bridge from Leo Quan. The bridge has slots cut and does not include mounting screws. Price includes UK postage.
  3. I bought a CIJ Precision from Gareth, total bargain, very quick to post and a lovely bass just as described. Many thanks!
  4. Yamaha Reface CP Electric Piano. Yamaha CP Reface electric piano. Nearly new, light home use only and owned for a couple of months. It is boxed with midi breakout lead, manual and original PSU. The original box is missing one polystyrene insert but will be well packed. I bought this for practice but tend to use my Nord now it’s out of storage. Great sounds and very portable. Pickup preferred but can post in the UK only.
  5. Once was mine - lovely instrument and a great price.
  6. The neck is from a Squier Indonesian Precision and was fitted briefly to my bitsa bass. It’s a modern profile neck. Nut width is 41mm. Tuners are Hipshot lightweight types and are excellent quality. Price includes UK postage. Neck is straight and frets as new. There have been a few types of tuners fitted but the holes have been filled and this is merely cosmetic.

  8. It’s saying “Buy this bass!” in Venusian👽

  10. MusicMan USA SUB StingRay Bass This bass is around 20 years old and is one of the US SUB basses made by Ernie Ball for only a couple of years in an effort to build a ‘budget MusicMan bass’. It was short lived - the basses proved very popular and expensive to produce as they used the same electrics, necks and bodies. The only compromise being a cheaper textured finish, slab body, painted necks and none logo stamped hardware. They were made in the same factory side by side with their more expensive counterparts. So not to be confused with modern Sterling SUBs from Indonesia. This is a full blooded StingRay with an active two band eq. It comes with black pearl scratchplate and original textured aluminium plate. All original with a graphite finish and black neck. It weighs 4kgs so very easy on the shoulder for a StingRay. I bought it recently as a back up for my US Sterling unfortunately the body is wider than my Sterling basses and because there is no contouring it aggravates my shoulder and neck injury. As soon as I played it for more than ten minutes standing or seated I recognised why I can’t get on with StingRays and why I’m so happy with the Sterling because of its smaller contoured body. This SUB plays and sounds superb, it is strung with medium roundwounds and really growls. The rosewood board and frets are in excellent condition and the neck is straight with working trussrod. Some tiny cosmetic blemishes on the body and scrapes off the finish on the headstock. I am selling this for what I paid for it however I would consider a straight trade for the US Musicman SUB Sterling model (yes these were also available) or a Sterling SB14 (the import version) with money my way. No offers please as it is an excellent price and I’m selling for what it cost me. I can post it within the UK at buyer’s cost but will remove the neck as there is no case with it. Pickup preferred of course. Sleeping cat not included. I’m gutted as it is a superb bass at a bargain price and looks fantastic however it’s impractical for me ergonomically. Any questions please message me.
  11. Squier Parts Bass I put this together from high quality parts and it has a Seymour Duncan quarter pounder 51’ type Precision/Tele bass pickup. Squier maple board Precision neck fitted with Hipshot lightweight tuners. The body is a 50’s type Precision from a Harley Benton bass. Bridge is a Hosco threaded saddle vintage style. The scratchplate was removed as it was hand painted for a publicity project however I will include it as you may wish to strip the paint. There is a finish blemish on the upper horn - merely cosmetic. Very good condition and sounds fantastic. Bass weighs around 3.8 kgs easy on the shoulder with a nice action. Fitted with Daddario medium gauge roundwounds. There is no bag or case with the instrument. Parts alone cost over £400. If it doesn’t sell I’ll part it out. No trades can post for £15
  12. MusicMan Sterling Bass 2004 USA Made This was originally finished in medallion gold but sprayed black by the original owner. It comes with semi-flight case and has a mirror scratchplate. Currently fitted with a Hipshot bass extender but I will remove this and restore the original MM tuner should the bass sells. I have two of these and will keep whichever doesn’t sell. This one weighs under 3.9kgs the neck is lovely, straight and slim. Frets are in good order and the trussrod works perfectly. There are scuffs and dings in the body but nothing structural or deep, it’s been regularly gigged and serviced. No issues with the electrics. Great US bass with a smaller body than the StingRay and in my opinion a more versatile preamp. Pickup preferred but I can post at buyers cost. No trades UK sale only. Thanks.
  13. MusicMan USA Sterling Bass in metallic blue. It comes with a pro semi-flight case and custom mirror scratchplate. It’s from 1998 and has a beautiful neck with an amazing flame to it. It weighs just under 4kgs and sounds fantastic! I’ve used US Sterlings almost exclusively for the last 18 months and this has been my back up bass. I have decided to let this go as I have bought a cheaper back up bass. It is a bit excessive taking two expensive US made MusicMan basses to some of the gigs I play! The eagle eyed will see this bass has a hipshot extender on it however this will be removed and the original tuner will be restored should the bass sell. The bass has a few dings from being regularly gigged the worst being pictured. Electrics are perfect and the neck is superb with a fully working trussrod and plenty of life in the frets. It’s a UK only sale and no trades. I’d prefer pickup but could post at buyer’s cost. The bass is light but the semi-flight case is quite heavy and bulky. The mirror plate is not fitted at present but the original screws are included. I have two Sterlings up for sale at present. If one sells I will withdraw the remainder. Both are great instruments. Thanks!
  14. Vox VX50-BA bass combo with original power supply. This is a handy little combo for home practices and with acoustic musicians playing in quieter settings. You’d need PA support to keep up with a drummer however. The 8’’ speaker is loud but lacks bottom end when cranked up. There is a DI on 1/4 jack. There is also a mini jack auxiliary in and headphone socket. A drive switch and compressor give it a decent range of options. There is a thread on Talkbass about these amps and they get very positive reviews. It is great for practicing at home as it is light and easy to move around the place. It has a decent tone for its weight and size. Bad points is it feels a bit plasticky and it has a some hiss especially when the master volume is up high. Last picture is a top my vintage 1964 Vox & Jennings stack. Specifications here - https://voxamps.com/en-gb/product/vx50ba/ It costs around £220 street new. This is in excellent condition postage will be a tenner. UK only no trades.
  15. This is awful I’m sorry you got ripped of. Yes Basschat is definitely one of the safest platforms to trade/sell on. I hope you get a resolution to this.
  16. They are Dean Markley Blue Steels. Managed to find some!
  17. As the title asks - can you ID these strings? They are quite low tension and have black retainers and white silks. They look like stainless steel but feel more like nickel. I got them on a used bass ages ago and I really like them. I’ve asked a few people but the suggestions have been vague. Many thanks!
