  1. Sounds fantastic I'll pm you !bcheers
  2. How old is it and where was it made? Thanks
  3. Here we go - http://www.danarmstrong.org/londonbass.html That gives all the variants so you can compare yours to them. I have owned both versions and I prefer the look of the one with the shorter horns as it reminds me of the very first Gibson EBO bass. Good luck
  4. There were two versions of this plus a long/short scale option. The second version had different shaped horns, it may be a camera angle fault but the horns on this look shorter than on both models. Has the bass been modified in any way prior to refinishing - also what is the neck joint like as these basses commonly need a neck reset as a result of a the glues drying out at the neck joint? Looking at the pics again this appears to be the first version as it has the 'London' logo on the fascia.
  5. Wondered if anyone travels regularly between Liverpool and the North - Lakes/Scotland/North Lancs and could help me out? I want to transport a half sized double bass from the Wirral and get it up to Lancaster - I'm a non driver and my girlfriend is recovering from an operation at the moment so won't be driving for the foreseeable. The bass is a trade but I can post my part of the deal easily, both myself and my trading partner are uncomfortable dealing with couriers with such a large delicate item and thought it worth enquiring on the site. Obviously petrol costs will be reimbursed and beer tokens and good will a plenty will be bestowed upon anyone who can help! Cheers
  6. Oh dear PMd
  7. Great basses these but you'll need to state a price. Forum rules. Cheers!
  8. What's the weight like?
  9. My local music shop Promenade has ordered one in for me to look at as Gary there knows I'm a Grabber fan. I had a 70s G3 and loved the sound but didn't get on with the weight, hopefully these will compare with my old lighter Grabber 1. The first G3 pickups were designed by Bill Lawrence and the neck was bolt on - think these are set necks so it will be interesting to see how they sound.
  10. Bass is now sold. Thanks everyone and Si for being so helpful!
  11. Back up for sale as the 'buyer' recovered from GAS!
  12. Fancy a trade for my Status Energy 6 string plus some cash your way? It's on the forum. Cheers
  13. The fastest turnaround in history? Possibly ....... Anyway here for sale is a wonderful Aria SWB-04 custom shop EUB, traded this Saturday gone from Si on this forum. It's a superb instrument, sounds and looks great I really love it however it's unrequited love as I am finding the scale length too much and can't get on with it. so here it is! I'm including Si's original thread - hope that's OK Si as it has all the relevant facts and figures in it. Cash wise it owes me what I paid plus the value of the traded bass. SOLD
