1. Well a potential viewing didn't happen so up she goes!
 2.
I am a gimp at packing... i'd rather pay more to have it done properly lol... but at least never any worry
3.
sadly, I think only major companies should be used when shipping : DHL / UPS / FEDEX ... with those 3 you are sorted for I am gonna guess about 99,99% of hearth! so
Agreed - I've also used Parcelforce 24/worldwide and have had no problems provided you use a case and pack very well. They are more expensive but what price peace of mind?
 4. I had a turntable delivered yesterday by Yodel - its a write off and it had been packed really well! They must have been playing football with it in the warehouse. I'd personally never use them but people do try to cut corners by using these amateurish companies. Avoid!
 5.
sell that stuff, then, Leo wouldn't have approved. "Badass,Nordstrand NJ4,Audere JZ3,Hipshot Dtuner"
6. Sold pending payment.
 7.
just sell all that other junk in your sig to get it!
Ha! Ha! Yes that's right although you have to keep your JV Jazz unless you want to swap for this .
 8.
If I was in Lancaster it would be buy first, ask if I can afford it later! As it is, geography has saved me.
Shame on geography!
 9.
Ah I see. Apparently you can use a different browser which may work, or use the mobile version (change by choosing the option at the bottom of the page)
Yes it's a bit strange, I'll try that thanks, oddly I just got a message from another basschatter and I was able to reply without a problem.
 10.
So reply as a new PM, should be fine
I can't from the iPad, for some reason when you attempt to start a new PM it won't show the reply button - its off the page! You can reply to a received PM however. I've noticed a few forum users have mentioned this.
 11.
I think that's because he's deleted the thread so you'll need to start a fresh PM thread with the recipient.
Ok but he just sent a new PM and I can't reply to it.....hmmmm,
 12. Not an ad but I have a load of Fender head stocks in a repeated pattern at the top of my page which do a fine job in obscuring my message notifications. I'm also getting a 'deleted' notification next to a conversation even though the poor guy is still trying to communicate with me I can't reply to his PM the 'normal' way as theoretically it doesn't exist! So if he's reading this sorry I can't start a new conversation on my iPad.
 13. Ah Burnley my old stomping ground - shame they closed down the Carlton I saw this on eBay, is that where you got it from? I remember it as the 'Nigel' name amused me! Is it playable, neck OK, etc. the bridge is certainly not placed correctly. What's the tone/volume like? Never used a full sized bass so curious as to how it would project compared to a 3/4 but I guess you wouldn't know if you've never played on.
 14. Where are you based?
 15. Please tell me it's not the solid state version?
 16.
Struggling to find 400quid myself and I'm In lancaster on Saturday. Doh!!@
The trouble is if you come and try it you'll certainly want to take it away with you! PM me if you do fancy popping round to try it out
 17.
currently in a dilema over this
Likewise when I decided to sell it!

 20. You can pick them up on eBay for 225-300 depending on condition. They are great basses for the money, I think this one is a bit dear for an early one - generally the larger single ply scratch plates warp or break and need replacing (Rob Green will custom make you one however). The pickup placement isn't as comfy as the later versions and in my view the output jacks and incremental pots aren't the greatest quality.
 21. In answer to a few questions I would consider posting overseas however I'd prefer the courier to be organised by the buyer in this case.
 22.
Any trades or sale only?
Only looking for sales at the moment I'm afraid.
 23. I bought this from EBay as an experiment to see if I could get on with a 6 string bass - I can't so its up for sale! Well despite it being a lovely bass and very easy to play I've decided it's not for me. The bass has a string spacing of just over 16mm at the bridge, 34" scale with a superb flat profiled Status graphite reinforced neck. The action is very low and the bass plays nice and easy up and down the scale. Pickups are Status soap bars and it's an active bass with a wide range of tones and great punch and clarity. The bass comes with a spare set of brand new Rotosounds and an old case. The bass has some cosmetic issues - it has been resprayed in black 'textured' paint a bit like Hammerite. It's not horrible and has been done reasonably well, but it's not perfect either. Secondly the soap bar covers have some surface wear and cracks which have been repaired; again only a cosmetic issue. There is a ding on the very top of the headstock, no other issues everything works properly, very little fret wear, truss rod turns, etc. The cosmetic issues are reflected in the price. £360 posted UK £345 picked up in person. Thanks.
