1. Hiya Karl what's the weight of it please?
2. Is this one still around type bump?
3.
I was just about to ask what kind of Precision bass it was, and now it's a Jazz bass!?
.
4. Hi how much does the TC weigh - I'm thinking for the courier. Cheers

7.
I've just realised that Ash was referring to these pots, I thought he meant the mag pickup height adjusters. D'oh! I have Presto Jazzicatos on mine. The softness and flexibility of them is quite delicious compared to the steels it came with.
Ha! Yes I was referring to those but couldn't remember what they were called, glad it turned out OK!
8. It's a Kay Woolies Special, also available in an EBO shape and a Rickenfaker style!
9. They were Thomastik Spiros I think.
10. I had one and had no issue with either the piezo or the mag. There were small adjusters on mine (like recessed plastic grub screws) which could be used for adjusting individual gain and tonal response on each pickup, may be worth having a play around with. Good luck it's a lovely EUB
11. Daz pm me your address, I have a few earlier copies I can send you over - I still feel I owe you a favour for transporting my old bass!
12. That's great thanks for posting!
13. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Bass_guitar This site has given me quite a few hours of puerile fun!
14. Is that a D- tuner on it?
15. Keep it, just recorded mine today and dropped the E to a low D - these basses are so good, the engineer couldn't believe how punchy it sounded. PS the cat in the picture is the ringer of mine!
16. I have a Wilkes bass going spare, was using it for down tuning but no longer need to. It's a handmade bass by Doug Wilkes with a simple passive Dimarzio pickup. Nice old think from the mid 80s
17.
Hi Ash, I've only just seen this post, I'm thrilled to see you getting on so well with my old Selmer. The P-Bass is getting its first outing on Sunday night as well, I'm using it in conjunction with some Roland MIDI pedals to double up some synthy type sounds. Glad to see the upright is getting the gigs!
Cheers! Yes I got a great sound from it too with no problems, I have invested in a stand and padded case too - got to say I'm a bit obsessed with the Selmer much to my girlfriends amusement! Glad the P bass is working out, I used a Precision doubled up with some Moog Taurus pedals to great effect. Let me know how Sunday goes!
18. Yes I see the Kay has gone from the listings. Perhaps it was for the best if you were thinking of bidding unseen. I'd rather not buy unseen from eBay these days on anything acoustic or delicate I think it's worth hanging on for the right bass locally or for something to crop up on here. I love my old Czech Selmer bass and I got it as a trade on Basschat. So glad I didn't go for something similar I had spotted on eBay which subsequently kept being relisted.
19.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Japanese-Aria-RE550-bass-Original-1976-Spares-or-repair-/140860776072?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item20cbf4de88
I've had one of these though this isn't my old one as it wasn't meddled with - these are quite nice fakers.
20. I bought these literally days ago from the forum and fitted them to my bass but they don't suit my style. So here they are at a slightly reduced price as they have been used - albeit briefly! £50 posted within the UK. Nice shiny new strings for your 1/2 size baby.
21.
I really want one of those. Like, really! But I don't want to shell out for one if it might not keep up with my band.
I use one of these on its own for most gigs and coupled with a New York 112 for gigs with a rock band I play for - it sounds great with double bass, 5 string and my Fender - combined with the extra cab it blows away a Marshall valve rig and the combo on its own can compete with a loud rock drummer. I've not looked at another rig since I bought this amp 4 years ago and it's a one hand easy lift!
22. Bass preamp with volume, treble & bass controls. Excellent condition boxed with belt clip, instructions, etc. Sold
