1. http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/trevor-bolder-dead-at-62/ Here's an article about him - a sad day an inspirational player.
2. Yes it went round the block I think but I loved this bass - had to sell when I was getting a deposit for my house.
3. I'm interested in this fancy a swap for a Precision plus cash PM me?
4. In all honesty I think he's trying to get a few people interested and creating his own little auction - I won't be bidding.
5. He's either trying to reel someone in to make a bigger offer or the bass is just a figment of his imagination!
6. I wouldn't mind a read of this if its still available?
7. Ah yes I got the funny music too when I rang him back in April - this is one to avoid. As you have noted.
8. The single sided black one with the neutric type jack works for me. Cost £24 I have them on both my DBs for Bluegrass and Rockabilly, I use an old Rocktek graphic eq to boost the signal and don't suffer any feedback problems.
9. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ray-manzarek-doors-keyboardist-dead-at-74-20130520 Great keyboard player and the bass behind the Doors (Fender Rhodes Piano Bass) RIP.
10. Hi I'll take this can you pm me your details I can't initiate pms from my iPad, thanks!
11. Where are you based?
12. If the deal for the bridge falls through I'll have it, thanks.
13. If you look at how the saddle screw lengths are set too, if it were a fretless it could have had a terrible fret job making intonation difficult to set up properly.
14.
dont forget the Shergold Marathon 6
If you can find or afford one! Hooky bought most of them back!
15. Like busses - you've been waiting for ever and then two turn up at the same time - except mine's not quite as posh as Rick's Fine's but wonderful non the less
16. Time to bump this, I'll drop the price to £875
17.
Fender style? More like a Burns....
Ha! I see what you did there
18. Hi chaps just got in from a gig and Beedster pm'd me first so provisionally sold. Cheers
19. Here is a custom made slab style Precision bass body similar to the style imported into the UK in 1966. Its made from swamp ash so has good resonance and is a nice weight. Its finished in a 'roadworn' nitro sunburst finish and looks like its been gigged for about 47 years! Its had a black scratchplate fitted which is included plus a black chrome bridge and strap buttons. I want £85 for it and will post in the UK for £8. Cheers! Nearly forgot neck pocket is 64mm at widest point to the bridge. WITHDRAWN sorry its now needed
20. I was interested in this and was in touch with the chap from Marmalade - I kept asking for more pics and I think he may have thought I was taking the mick! I've owned a few of these - I decided against it because of the string alignment looking all wrong on the pics he sent me. Its a lovely bass but I would seriously think twice about removing the extra pickup as a few have commented, the mudbucker has a hell of a sound but does need taming! My last one had a Dimarzio jazz pickup and a coil tap on the 'bucker too which worked a treat. A great bass I love the neck on these. Good luck with it!
21. Its time to bump this lovely bass
22. Very nice, are the machineheads replacements? I've had a few of these and they are great basses, I'm tempted - does the active circuit work ok as I note you've said you ran it in passive mode? Cheers
23. Id be interested - i sold mine but regret it how would i get in touch - don't fancy joining a forum i'd not continue with.
