1. You'd be paying over the odds at £1100, some colours are more desirable than others, its not a common colour but I don't think it's 'custom shop'. It also comes from a notoriously poor period for Fender. The most valuable Mustangs are the very early ones with competition stripes and/or matching head stocks. There's a mint 70's one going for £850 at the moment and its not shifting. My early 70s one in original condition went for under £500. Today's market is incredibly unpredictable and being a shorter scale model it's not exactly 'A' list. Play it and enjoy it and hang on to it for another 20 years!

3.
It's explained in the listing - they are 'low in price but they are definitely not cheap'. Even so, they are 'better than some strings that sell at three times the price', so you are effectively saving £215. not bad in my book.
8. Cheers Luke we've been in touch - great bass this one!
9. Great bass unfortunately it's going to be very difficult to sort this in time so I'll leave it to another lucky and more local 'chatter. Cheers
10. Hi Bryan, it would be payment via PayPal I'm based in the Northwest so unable to collect, I'm off to play a gig shortly so unable to sort anything out until later. If you want to and are prepared to send via courier pm me your details and I can sort something out on my return. Unless some local Basschatter can pick it up in person from you then I'll bow to their convenience! Sorry all a bit of a rush tonight! Cheers
11.
I can pm fine with an iPad, on mobile and desktop version???
I can't I can respond to pms but can't initiate them mines an iPad 2 and a box comes up in the left corner but you can't see to write in it. It's a bug a few people have mentioned on both full and mobile versions.
12. I will have if you can post - where you based? Pm me as I can't pm from the iPad! Cheers
13. Now ended - I emailed them and pointed out the discrepancies - Hi - by the fixed neck and headstock shape it appears to be a Ripper Bass - The Grabber and G3 series had a bolt on neck and arrow shaped headstock with pearl dots on the neck. Judging by the pickups the electrics are modded. G3s had distinctive looking Bill Lawrence pickups. I own a G1 and have owned several G3s and Rippers. Hope that helps. Does it have a serial number at the back of the headstock? No reply.
14. Yes I recognised the name - great fretless player - wonder if it is him? I sold the seller some parts once but bottled out of asking him!
15. Not a Grabber but an odd looking Ripper bass on the 'bay. I've emailed him for more details but there are things not quite right with this bass.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141008273244?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
16. £1530 now - up up and away!
17. .....and now its gone up in price! I contacted him last night and he said he was 'currently updating the listing'. Temptation gone....

Busy! I work office hours Monday to Friday so Saturdays is ok if you can get one to come then.
20. Is the Fury the maple fingerboard version? Cheers
21. I think the query is because there is generally a little circular rout under the pick guard and they are stamped 'road worn' to distinguish them from the standard reissues. Lovely bass by the way!
I have two of these and I think they're great! Most of the time I only need to use one (4 piece blues band; pubs and small clubs) and use two only on very special occasions (outdoors, big halls etc). I wouldn't worry about the tweeter, I think they're bright enough without and I use mine turned off. These are really well built chunky bits of kit and they come with a little kickback stand on the bottom which helps with boomy rooms and hollow stages. Well worth it for the money! GLWTS Truckstop
Thanks for the comments, yep nice amps and loud for the size. Had some enquiries, posting would be expensive but if you can find a cheap courier and are willing to work around my busy schedule anything is possible!
23. Mmmm Logan String Melody too! Would you accept an offer?
