Bump for price drop to £515
2. I do a version with a band that improvises around classic songs. We do a fairly funky version and I use some of the cello phrases, the descending scale sounds good if you play around with it and use the dynamics. Always goes down well and there's a lot of room to play around in.

7. And sold - thanks David
8. I can't post pics but I can email them if you pm me. This is a lovely bass in excellent condition, truss rod works, stereo jack works, there's a mute at the bridge which adjusts correctly. It's a through neck model in a fetching fiery cherry sunburst. It plays very well, it has a truss rod cover that says Ibanez on it that was on when I bought it but the chap I got it from says that that was added later - I agree its far more likely to be a Maya, CMI or a Shaftesbury looking at the tuners and dark stripe of wood through the body and neck. It sounds fantastic very similar to the grunt of an original perfect for punk or prog. A very high quality Japanese vintage bass. I'm looking for £375 UK postage only. Thanks. PS mods please let me know if this ad breaks any rules and alter it accordingly if it does.

13. I've pointed out the error of his ways....wonder if he'll change the listing?
14.
Maybe wait till Rick has been in touch with his Bank Manager. I can envisage him hurriedly filling out a second mortgage application form
15. Ha ha! It's possibly a Watkins or Wilson Rapier Bass like on here - http://www.watkinsguitars.co.uk/basses.htm I think I'll drop him a line.....
16.
Copyright comes automatically. There has been some fuss recently about legislation to make it actually legal to use images that are floating around the web where the creator doesn't care about them being used. I've bought an amp on ebay that was using a picture of one of my amps, surprisingly, when the amp arrived, it was not as pictured (since the pictured one was sat in my living room the whole time) so I tapped up the scrote for £50 back for using my image/item not being as per image.
Good call about the amp. I always believed copyright/ownership had to be stated or declared - otherwise once submitted to the public domain it was lost. I know that Facebook have had a legal battle about using submitted images - my brother is a photographer and always uses a 'signature' across the image to prevent reproduction of the image without permission/payment.
17. If you look at Google images for a particular piece of gear often you'll come up with pictures of items seen or that you have sold on here or on eBay. For example today I was looking at JV Squier basses and I found pics of several I have owned and sold on here - it was especially poignant since there was one I really miss! I guess that once published on a site they are in the public domain for all to see so they could be used anyway, unless you add a 'watermark' ID or copyright.
18.
This is one of my favourite youtube videos. I'm sure any BCers with a liking for these things will love this. Enjoy! 19. A very old and very loud Trace Elliot head from the early 80s. This is the one with the original GP7 preamp and pre shape switch. It's tatty and has the usual broken - but functional - EQ sliders and a replacement gain knob. It's incredibly powerful for its rating and has that sound Trace built their reputation on. The amp needs some TLC as the green power switch can be temperamental and could do with being replaced. I've never bothered as this amp has been used as a backup or for rehearsals. You can get these rocker switches for a couple of quid off the net. I've used this with a Hartke 4x10 cab and it will compete with a couple of Marshall stacks and an amphetamine fuelled drummer with ease. Looking for £75 picked up - it's built like a tank and very heavy so postage will be expensive but I can look into that if necessary but only within the UK.
20. I have just traded a Precision bass with Mark, very quick turnaround and a superb instrument, I'm very pleased and wouldn't hesitate dealing with him again. Thanks Mark!
21. Nice to know - thanks for the info, a good guy after all!
22. A nice little Squier Bullet, quite a rare version, a sort of angular and skinnier Tele! It has a maple neck simple volume and tone control, 5 way switch, one humbucker and two single coils. It's got bags of sustain as its quite a heavy slab body. Japanese build quality and a rather nice Fender trem. It's in the original black finish and there was never a scratchplate. The paintwork has some scratches and dings, nothing major, the neck is excellent, very little wear and feels slim and flat. I just had it checked over and the electrics re done. It plays well - for a guitar - although the trem may need setting to your own preferences. Postage about £15 extra, pickup preferred. UK only sorry. The serial number is stamped on the neck plate E followed by 6 digits. No trades on this sorry.
