1. If you look at Google images for a particular piece of gear often you'll come up with pictures of items seen or that you have sold on here or on eBay. For example today I was looking at JV Squier basses and I found pics of several I have owned and sold on here - it was especially poignant since there was one I really miss! I guess that once published on a site they are in the public domain for all to see so they could be used anyway, unless you add a 'watermark' ID or copyright.
2.
This is one of my favourite youtube videos. I'm sure any BCers with a liking for these things will love this. Enjoy!
Ha! Ha! Authentic Bulls**t Guitars more like! Thanks for posting had a good laugh at this one
3. A very old and very loud Trace Elliot head from the early 80s. This is the one with the original GP7 preamp and pre shape switch. It's tatty and has the usual broken - but functional - EQ sliders and a replacement gain knob. It's incredibly powerful for its rating and has that sound Trace built their reputation on. The amp needs some TLC as the green power switch can be temperamental and could do with being replaced. I've never bothered as this amp has been used as a backup or for rehearsals. You can get these rocker switches for a couple of quid off the net. I've used this with a Hartke 4x10 cab and it will compete with a couple of Marshall stacks and an amphetamine fuelled drummer with ease. Looking for £75 picked up - it's built like a tank and very heavy so postage will be expensive but I can look into that if necessary but only within the UK.
4. I have just traded a Precision bass with Mark, very quick turnaround and a superb instrument, I'm very pleased and wouldn't hesitate dealing with him again. Thanks Mark!
5. Nice to know - thanks for the info, a good guy after all!
6. A nice little Squier Bullet, quite a rare version, a sort of angular and skinnier Tele! It has a maple neck simple volume and tone control, 5 way switch, one humbucker and two single coils. It's got bags of sustain as its quite a heavy slab body. Japanese build quality and a rather nice Fender trem. It's in the original black finish and there was never a scratchplate. The paintwork has some scratches and dings, nothing major, the neck is excellent, very little wear and feels slim and flat. I just had it checked over and the electrics re done. It plays well - for a guitar - although the trem may need setting to your own preferences. Postage about £15 extra, pickup preferred. UK only sorry. The serial number is stamped on the neck plate E followed by 6 digits. No trades on this sorry.

8. Yes it went round the block I think but I loved this bass - had to sell when I was getting a deposit for my house.
9. I'm interested in this fancy a swap for a Precision plus cash PM me?
10. In all honesty I think he's trying to get a few people interested and creating his own little auction - I won't be bidding.
11. He's either trying to reel someone in to make a bigger offer or the bass is just a figment of his imagination!
12. I wouldn't mind a read of this if its still available?
13. Ah yes I got the funny music too when I rang him back in April - this is one to avoid. As you have noted.
14. The single sided black one with the neutric type jack works for me. Cost £24 I have them on both my DBs for Bluegrass and Rockabilly, I use an old Rocktek graphic eq to boost the signal and don't suffer any feedback problems.
15. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ray-manzarek-doors-keyboardist-dead-at-74-20130520 Great keyboard player and the bass behind the Doors (Fender Rhodes Piano Bass) RIP.

17. Where are you based?
18. If the deal for the bridge falls through I'll have it, thanks.
19. If you look at how the saddle screw lengths are set too, if it were a fretless it could have had a terrible fret job making intonation difficult to set up properly.
20.
dont forget the Shergold Marathon 6
If you can find or afford one! Hooky bought most of them back!
21. Like busses - you've been waiting for ever and then two turn up at the same time - except mine's not quite as posh as Rick's Fine's but wonderful non the less
