1.
He does seem like a prime candidate for operation Yew Tree. Perhaps those involved don't want to be subject to the further glare of publicity that pressing charges would bring.
I think Yew Tree was flawed. It pulled in people that were innocent and let offenders go. Pete Townshend is still to release his book that he was " researching"
 2.
Ah Mr. Wyman...the Mr. Wyman who was publicly screwing an underage girl for years & totally messed her up. He should have the book thrown at him. Commenting on his playing is one thing, but how anyone can wish him a happy birthday knowing that is beyond me.
Hands up to a bit of trolling here. Just wondered what the response would be. I liked his bass playing but was surprised that he got away with what he did. Birrito said it well, he was criminally underrated, just not for his bass playing.
 3. I wish I had the dosh of this. I'd be playing Boz Burrell bass lines all day with this. You always sell what I love Dave.
 4. Just saw this on Facebook. I watched a documentary a couple of weeks ago about him. It was tough to see how ill he's been due to bodged surgery. RIP Pete. You deserved better.
 5. I can't believe that Bill Wyman is 80 today. I wonder if he's still using his metal detector?
 6. Thanks for the heads up Rich. Not heard of them before but WOW. Currently updating my Spotify playlist.

 8.
People dissing Axl - go see AC/DC with him fronting. Then you can diss him. Thank you.
I was surprised how well he did with AC/DC, he's still a twunt though.
 9.
It's interesting how many people say that "they" should call it a day now. AC/DC are a global enterprise with offices, secretaries, accountants, private planes and an income to rival the GDP of some small countries. Would Coca Cola or Nike suddenly stop, when they are ongoing successful businesses?
Coca Cola and Nike didn't change the public face of their produce until people didn't recognise them anymore. AC/DC are in danger of doing that.
 10. It's official. Cliff Williams has had enough and is leaving AC/DC. Surely that must be the end or is the 65 year old school boy, Angus, going to recruit various distant relatives to fill the gaps? I hope not. Thanks for all the good times guys but please, RIP.
 11.
I find the history fascinating but no more so than any other period or cultural/social happening that I am interested in.
If we don't learn from history, we're f@@ked. All the music we play today is adapted from the musical past. It's called progress.
 12. Jon Anderson, to me , the voice of YES, has been made a God of Prog. About bloody time. http://teamrock.com/news/2016-07-15/jon-anderson-is-the-2016-prog-god
 13. Great video WoT, you're really not helping the GAS. I need to try to narrow down my options to get my perfect bass. A P/J for some type is a given but lots to think about.
 14. I have a MIM Fender P bass from 2014. I can't fault it. CAR with a maple fretboard. It was fitted with a SD pickup by the previous owner and is great. It cost me 400 quid including postage with pick up covers and a new gig bag thrown in. You can pick a good one up second hand for around 350 quid or less in great condition.
 15. That looks lush. I wouldn't mind doing that conversion myself.
 16.
Their best work is likely behind them so perhaps they should all hang up their instruments.
Agreed.
 17.
Borrowing a plot previously shown elsewhere Brian and Cliff will start AC/DC regenerated / rectified / full wave / 3 phase or whatever. There will then be prolonged legal battles between all parties upon which ten years later a sell out re-union tour will be needed to pay the legal costs.
Really? Any links? Not surprised though. It seems to me that Angus is the controlling one . Look how he treated Brian Johnson after all these years of service.
 18.
The most replaceable bass player in music
I thought that was Adam Clayton.
 19.
The most replaceable bass player in music
A bit cruel Bilbo.
 20. I read on the t'interweb that Brian Johnson may be able to gig again due to new developments in in-ear monitors. I wonder if he will be welcomed back to AC/DC or if Arsehole Rose will get the gig full time. If it's Rose then I can see why Cliff wants out.
 21.
If true they must be finished.
I would be sad if Angus carried on as a geriatric schoolboy without the rest of them.
 22. Cliff has said that when this tour finishes, he's hanging up the bass. He's been a solid player and will be missed but I can't say that I blame him. I hope the band retires now instead of becoming their own tribute band. http://ultimateclassicrock.com/acdc-cliff-williams-retirement/?trackback=fbshare_mobile_top
 23.
Goodness sake's Alan it's only one ounce over 9lbs or 4 kg, that's 4 bags of sugar mate! do this test, put 4 bags of sugar in a carrier bag and pass your strap though the handles and over your shoulder now tell me how easy is to stand for 1 and half hour on a gig with that weight on your shoulders. Seriously! tsk tsk
Yeah Fran but you what a wimp I am.
