1. Line 6 LD400 Pro 2x10 Combo. Excellent condition. I bought this on here earlier in the year and it has sat at work with little use. I have only used it for low volume practise and it has never been gigged. The previous owner only used it of home use. I'm not likely to be gigging again and my Phil Jones headphones and Zoom B3 are enough for me. It's in great condition, no marks on it what so ever. It has been really well looked after and is ready to gig. It's no lightweight at around 100 pounds but it's on casters which make moving it about easy. Here is a link to the manual which shows what it can do. 2. In my last band, I did backing vocals on some numbers. At one particular gig, someone took a video and when I saw the playback, I was shocked at how bad I sounded. The guitarist then admitted that, for the past 20 gigs, he had my vocals in the fold back only. Nothing was going FOH. That gig, he forget to tell the sound guy to turn me down. I have never sung since.
3. I was on stage before a gig, taping down some cables with gaffa tape. I had left my penknife at the other side of the stage so I decided to bite the tape to get a tear started. The tape tore the skin off my bottom lip and it hurt like hell. It took ages for it to stop bleeding and I played the gig looking like I had a big sulky, scabby pout on.
4. I've got a weekend pass from my wife so I'm going. She's even booking me a hotel for the Saturday night. I'm looking forward to the show.
5. Welcome back Pete, glad to hear you're on the mend. Keep it up mate.
6. What a great job, it looks the business.
7. Two for me. A MIM pbass at home and a Bass Collection Nanyo SB310 at work. I've had many others over the years and sold the lot when I got RA and couldn't play for a few years. Still got GAS for more but I can't justify them, so my wife says.
8. That looks sweet. The pick guard is a great touch, it really works with the CAR finish. Which Seymours did you fit?
9. Wow. I love that scratch plate. Shame about the solo.
10. Congratulations. Not really jealous or anything.
11. I'm selling a 310 4 string. I keep it at work for a noddle when things are quiet. Lovely bass, sounds great through my Zoom B3 and line 6 combo.
12. I'm suprised this hasn't shifted yet Gary. Lovely bass.
13.
The Bass Doc on here. He seems to be the "go to" man for scratchplates. Failing that Mike Walsh of Iceni Zoot fame will do one.
The Bass Doc has fallen out of favour recently. He seems to have some issues and has let a lot of people down.
14. I bought a '83 Fullerton '57RI Precision from a music shop in Chelmsford for £300 in 1997. They even chucked in a new set of strings and a few picks. It had been stripped back to a natural finish and varnished. The gold anodised scratch plate had been painted white. I cleaned that up and I traded on here for a '75 custom build Precision worth over £900.
15.
Whenever our guitarist plays the intro to A Little Less Conversation, the drummer and I sing Angel of Harlem over the top of it. It really annoys him and we just giggle like a pair of idiots.
Love it.
16. 72 is no age these days. There's going to be a lorra lorra tears. RIP Cilla, you were a real star.
17.
I know Adrian Maruszczyk since 2006. He is a great Guy and the Basses are awesome. Yesterday I visited him in his House/Showroom, wich is about 40km from here. I was not alone, as I left him... As you can see: - Elwood 5a - Ash Body - Maple Neck and Fretboard - ABM Hardware - Delano JC5AL Pickups - Glockenklang 2-Bd. Preamp/EQ - 19mm Stringspacing - 4,3Kg
That is a beauty and I don't like black fret markers on maple boards. I might have to change my mind.
18. Beautiful bass and nice playing. I love the tone.
19. No Politics. No Religion. No Sexism. Dick Waving and the Fast Cars.
