Those Stings are a weird thing. A couple of years ago you quite literally couldn't give them away as everyone (quite rightly) wanted the RI's (I had one myself) but I recently saw a Sting go for more than a RI. How soon we forget.

My guess is that as toothpaste is an abrasive you've already scoobied it. Re-plating might be the only option (other than replacing it). Could be a bit of a pain to do though if you don't have a chromers near by.

The beauty of the OBP-3 is that its so configurable, eg. if you don't want a mid simply don't hook it up or you can put it on a concentric if that suits your spec better.

Does it have Lindy Fralins in it? I have an OBP-3 in a bass with Fralins and it is frickin awesome. One of the best combinations I've ever come across. Maybe you could whip the one out of your Mayones and try it out with your Lakky.

I'm not buying the wine thing either I'm afraid. Apart from having a natural intolerance to red wine (even rosé) I find it's one of your basic differentials, like red sauce, brown sauce. About 10-15 years ago I was a bit of a wine bore and could guess with a fair degree of accuracy grapes and country of origin. I hardly ever drink now but I'm sure I could even I can tell the diff (even just by smell) between red and white blindfolded... probably more so now that I don't smoke. I'm going to give it a try this weekend.

How much artistic licence is allowed/expected with a gig like this? I find it immensely encouraging yet strange that given the technology available the they actually employed real live musicians for a track like this.
