Admittedly it's only ever likely to happen once or twice. There is already a strong case for a "two-tier" system in the FS sections (where large amounts of money are at stake) so the practice wouldn't be quite as elitist as it may at first seem. How about we have a sticky thread documenting suspect serial numbers? Going on the premise that reproduction decal makers are printing runs of decals with the same serial on them and therefore a lot of suspect basses out there will be using these identical serials, a database of "flagged" numbers could save a lot of hassle and perhaps help avoid some major disappointments. Here's a starter for 10. [b]S7 35688[/b] a "78 Jazz" currently being discussed on here but previously discredited as being bogus a couple of years back.

The misemployment of "brought" for "bought" right at the start of the description pretty much made me tune out straight away. He's been into the neck pocket, shouldn't the neck have a stamp in the heel too?
