1. What an awesome gig. Jealous much.
 2.
Well I suppose if I wreck it I could always send it off to you to sort out, eh? Truckstop
For the win
 3.
Not quite sure I have the time, patience, skill, materials, tools or knowledge to do anything like that! I think I'll just stick with my hardware changes for now Truckstop
Hey you never know man. That one was probably only my second ever bass project. All built just in the kitchen with hardly any tools... and now look at me. Mind you, I remember your 5er relic so yeah maybe just stick to screwdriver jobs for now. Looks like it'll make a great fixer-upper.
 4.
and I would have thought fairly easy to convert back with a MM pup
Oddly enough that would probably devalue it. As it is, it's an oddity... reverted it's a 'ray with an undesirable f*ck-up under the pg.
 5. We've seen this one a few times... was even up fs on here at one point. I dunno why it won't sell, it has a sort of cool history and could be a nice tonal twist from the norm.
 6. Yep I agree with the homemade hypotheses. The way the hole in the lower horn connects with the scratch plate looks slightly ill conceived. The switching options look interesting - would be good to know what he's done there and what pre he's using. The J pup looks kind of DiMarzio and my gut feeling is the P is an EMG. Maybe you could email him for the spec.
 7. Kind of reminds me of an old Encore project I did a few years ago. The guy I bought it off had attempted to relic it, so it needed a pretty hefty makeover... From this .... ... to this... (the only original parts left are the body and neck... I even replaced the frets)
 8. Yup sounds like a short. I have the exact same pups in a bass but I can't think why the poles should come into contact with any part of the circuit. Many Delano's have solid copper bases, I can't remember if the PMVC 4FE/M2's do but it might be worth removing your pups to see if something is causing a non-earth wire to short to the base plate.
 9.
'Ou7shined' timestamp='1333463310' post='1602043'] Philip B’s White Truffle Moisturising Shampoo... because he's worth it. MB1. "What! take 2 bottles into the shower?
Yeah but one of the bottles will be some smooth Sippin' Liquor.
 10. Cheers guys. Also just for the record I have sent gear to former Eastern Bloc countries a couple of times now without any slip ups.
 11.
Okay ..... One you can hear the banging off the machinehead. Two I hope that was the old strings because it looks like they took a hit of the file too. Third at 4 minutes is it just me or is he not holding the feeler guage straight?
check, check and check. And as I mentioned before the file defo hit the fingerboard.
 12.
What does Seasick Steve use?
Philip B’s White Truffle Moisturising Shampoo... because he's worth it.
 13.
This topic isn't what I thought it was. But for the record, mine are 29" (74cm) from the ground.
14.
hi breman, i was not particularly talking about latvia. but i never knew that !
Out of interest, which countries do you have on your sh*t list? It might be helpful to let others know your experiences. I heard Italy can be especially dodgy but I've never found out why.
 15.
Nick Beggs used to wash his hair with Lenor fabric softener. Fact.
I remember him saying that on Sawp Shop or whatever the saturday show was at the time.
 16.
This might be useful to you.
He probably should have placed some tape or something on the fingerboard to help save him from gouging out that wee divot.
 17.
*Googles Nick Beggs*
He's one of these guys... (honestly)
 18. If Wayne gets it he can keep the stuck on note name stickers on it.
 19.
And what is that big fat arm covering up?
I dunno but it's almost bigger than his f*cking head!
 20. A BCer just posted pics of their one here.
 21.
You could use Veropins to do the connections rather than solder flying leads straight to the board.
Being a hoarder I make my own from the legs off old components which I can't bare to throw away once I've snipped the excess off. They come in handy for all sorts of solder jobs.
 22.
Hi, It's still available. I'm not too sure, it's still in the bass at the moment .
Slightly confused. I thought you were getting back to me once you'd checked some details.
