Why does this keep getting removed?? .......
They aren't getting removed, it's just that newer threads are being added and yours subsequently drops off page 1 onto the next and so forth. Look. If you want to keep it on page one "bump" it.
 2.
They are very easy to apply, so don't listen to the hamfisted Email this guy and ask for what you need. I have used his decals and they are excellent! http://thedecalshop.co.uk/ Cheers.
+1 to both parts. edit : Oh and this is the guy I was on about but if you go with thedecalshop you won't need to contact him anyway.
 3.
I own a MIA 75 reissue jazz, a MIM classic 70s jazz and a MIJ 51 reissue P. It's honestly hard to tell the difference. I think they are all good quality basses and I think the price difference is down to the marketing dept creating an impression of a difference so that they can charge you more. That's my honest opinion. Frank.
This post saddens me slightly. I have owned a CIJ 51 RI and a MIM 70s RI. Both of which were ok but had to be tweaked (realigned bridge, freed up the tuners etc) in order to meet my expectations. I have no plans to get either a CIJ or MIM again but coincidentally I'd hoped maybe one day to have a look at a MIA 75 RI. There's probably no point now though if they're much and such.
 4.
Thanks mate, but I don't have a multi meter. I thought someone would know because I assume they are all the same. No worries, I will probably be able to work it out looking at my otherWarwicks, but their colours are not to be trusted BTW, I love your Foamy Stingray Jazz, good build thread that! Very clean work on the innards!!
Hey cheers. As already mentioned, if you don't have access to a multimeter you can knock up a continuity tester with just a bulb (or an LED + a resistor) and a battery.
 5. Plug in a lead and test the outputs at the other end with a multimeter.
 6.
One thing I've noticed about Jazz basses though, is that they have a tendancy to fall over because of their assymetrical bottom. Since I picked up my Squier CV Jazz I can't count the number of times I've put it on the stand at rehearsal, gone to make a cup of tea and heard it crash to the floor. One of these days it might actually get damaged.
Just shift the rear strap button up a bit and you get one of the few basses that never falls over. ...Although I fear this info may be wasted on someone who time and again leaves his bass unattended in the way that it usually falls over from.
 7.
Thanks mate. Right now unofficial headstock decals?
There's a guy on ebay with TheClash in his name who does very decent repros.
 8. Unless you seal it with a lacquer etc. it will get dirty very quickly.
 9.
Exactly, and I think the TIs are a fair whack more. I think its more the feel that people like to comment on with flats....and the ommph!
I think that there is a vast difference in the upper-mids and specific brightness between the brands IMHO* *added to avoid further sarcyness.
 10. Expect offers significantly less than the asking. Good luck.
 11. Status Hotwires blow the hyped up (to an extent) expensive alternatives out the water.
 12.
There will some serious big F fans along presently but in essence the main differences are QC.....
Don't they use different pups too?
 13. Durka durka?
 14. Your first bridge pic is as it should be at the bridge but it doesn't tally with how the strings should sit over the pole pieces. Re you fret-markers query : If I'd built it the strings would be equidistant from the fretmarkers.... but this is a Fender so don't expect too much.
 15. If it sounds ok and feels/plays ok then it's ok. It's always best to have the strings match the spacing of the pup pole pieces though, how it looks at the bridge is more or less irrelevant.
 16.
There's what seems like a nice Dano Longhorn currently for sale on Edinburgh Gumtree for £120........
Surely that's an oxymoron?
 17.
Forum rules - you have to state a price.
Or as some have discovered, to avoid venturing a price just put it up for "trades only" for a day max, then wait for the offers by PM to come flooding in. Or alternatively, skip the marketplace altogether by starting a "how much is it worth" thread in Bass Guitars and again sit back and wait for the offers. [/tipsy_cynical_rant]
 18.
That tow bar is never original.
19.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's been recently re-fretted and had the board refinished at the same time. If you look closely, I think it is still gloss - you can see what I'm pretty certain is a reflection on the last pic, right side of the 21st position. That's not visible in the other pics. J.
Thank you. I was waiting for someone to say it, that's my take on it too.... I thought it was obvious. The frets seem to have been quite heavily crowned (which I noticed before the light fretboard was pointed out) when compared to a 'ray which have quite rounded frets. edit : maybe it's been pleked?
 20.
They moved it and made it light grey, it is in the middle bit now, under where the shipping terms are, in small, light writing on a white background.
Haha cheers. I thought I'd lost mine too.
 21.
Don't worry mannie, perfection is worth an extra week You're right about the hardware, I'm so lucky to have acquired 29 year old chrome parts in such good nick.
They are in unfathomably good condition for their age.... for any age really.
 22. Erm... a bit of a set back with the body. I decided to do a last minute buff and ended up polishing through to the primer at the sharp edge on the neck pocket. So I've got to get the spray cans out again. Same time next week? Still we got to muck about with the neck hardware... looking good.
 23.
Dream on
Nah you dream on.... for one more night. See you tha morn.
 24. A chap from Edinburgh will be along shortly to tell you how great they are and that you should buy it. He won't be wrong.
