  1. Drilling a tube around the screw is the best bet. It's too small for anything else to get purchase on it. If you drill anticlockwise you might be lucky enough for the tube to grab the screw and wind it out
  2. Thanks for the comments. For some reason I only took about 3 pics near the end of the build so I don't think I could do much of a diary.
  3. Finally managed to make myself something! I wasn't sure whether to post this in build diarys or gear porn but I've plumped for here. Anyway, it's 32"scale which I'm finding really comfortable to play. Although with drop tuning things get a bit flabby so I'm going to try a thicker guage. I was also worried the LP style might suffer from neck dive but it's not an issue at all. It has a flamed Ash top and walnut neck and I'm very pleased with it.
  4. I often wonder why the mudbucker isn't put in a less muddy position
  5. I saw them at the weekend, amazing! Along with IDLES which I'm listening to now
  6. it's the same for guitar tab, a waste of time usually. I find youtube a much better option and you can instantly hear if its right or not
  7. I find playing and singing are enough things to be doing at once without adding reading lyrics to the list. I try to run through the song whenever I can whilst driving, cooking or ' working' etc
  8. Amazing. That's more than Jimi Hendrix's fuzz face is expected to get at auction
  9. New order. Fair enough they have written 3 good tunes and inadvertently broke new ground when they started. But the rest is regurgitated tripe with flat vocals, terrible lyrics and Hookey playing the same stupid bass line on everything. Dreadful live too
  10. I once had an appreciative member of the audience try to hand me a very welcome pint while I was playing and singing! He didn't seem to realize both my hands were otherwise engaged. I just had to nod towards nearest table and thank him later
  11. When playing just f and g throughout 'baby please don't go'(Them), fatigue and lactic acid used to creep in. Eventually I just thought sod it, and I now capo the first fret. Much easier
