http://img132.imageshack.us/i/016mdb.jpg/
Curious. Can you show us a pic of the nut and tuner together please?
 2. Can you post a pic?
 3.
no i don't play lattin jazz music
Pah your just like the rest of my band.
 4. If I buy this bass which has been custom built to be perfect for one man only, would you be available to play it at future gigs for me?
 5. Yeah but it's one of those rare 500w ones..... ...depending on how you spin the truth.
 6. Tough call Steve. If it was anything other than a gig I'd say sack it off. I wonder if you could bum a lift off any of the guys coming down from G/gow on Sunday?

 9. Gold works best with either black or deep brown... so NO.
 10. Could you get Lemmy (or Jesus, I'm not bothered) to sign it?
 11. That description is the funniest thing I've read in ages. It's like something we'd make up on here to relieve the boredom. "I bought a sh*t bass with a twisted neck. What will I do? I know make up some sh*t about it and flog it for profit". He should go back to his "luthier" and tell him that aircraft propellers have been adopted universally (well globally at least) ..... on aircraft.
 12. From those pics, your bass appears to be in above average condition for it's age. I thought your original price was fair.
 13.
I'm not an expert on Cuppa Soup. I found under the bread bin in my grandma's pantry. The guy in Tesco said it was genuine.
That's good enough for me.
 14.
Trade the caps lock for a vegetable Cuppa Soup signed by Noddy Holder?
Did he actually have the soup himself or did he just sign it for some chancer?
 15. There's not much can go wrong with a jack. Unscrew the housing and see if there are any wires that have become disconnected. The fact that you get a response from the vol pot suggests that it is still connected. Let's see if we can get you to fix it for free.
 16.
Sounds like someone will be paying ou7shined some legal fees on a Pingray?
Here actually is Peter (Greeneking) playing the Pingray - or rather discovering how dismally long I have my strap. As has been pointed out the 2 pups in their classic positions annoyingly encroach into each others territory. For my purposes I wanted to change as little as possible which is why I went for the reversed P, keeping the 'ray pup and the E/A section of the P in their proper spots accurate down to the nearest millimetre. You heard the results yourself Peter. Sandberg use their own spacings in their PM range but for my money they don't catch the harmonics of the original positions that Leo himself worked out. I'll be taking the Pingray to Moffat again (made some slight cosmetic improvements from last time) so you are welcome to take as many measurements there as you like Peter. I found a good way to place the MM pup perfectly was to use a genuine MM scratch plate as a template.
 17.
This is why I'm sticking to my Fender P Basses, 1 volume and 1 tone. Nothing complicated about that and I can get a big range of tones from my P's from flat to really bright. This new "Gamechanger" thing from Ernie Ball seems far to complicated and a waste of time. If you don't like your guitars tone, get new pick ups/pre amp (if you're that way inclined) or change your EQ or get a new amp or throw in some pedals. Simple!
Yeah bloody right. It's like those idiots with their new fangled "auto-mo-beels". They're just too complicated. What's wrong with a horse and cart? "Click click" to go and "whoa" to stop - nothing complicated abut that. And if you want to go faster just keep putting more and more horses on. Simples! Down with this sort of thing.
 18. Are you a shop selling old stock? The more of these you post the less you look like a private seller.... which is what this place is supposed to be about buddy.
 19. I like the cream pups. Besides paint will look nice to begin with but as soon as you start playing, will wear off and ultimately look dead amateurish.
 20.
Man this bass is going to rock! Can't wait to see the finished item Eude
You won't have long to wait and you can have a shottie too. btw the pics above are a couple of days old - they've had heaps more buffing since then. Mmmm shiny.
 21.
I'll nip round tonight if that's OK?
Cool.
 22.
Not a very exciting update you might think, but I'm excited My quest to find the missing Posi-Lok strap button has finally come to an end thanks to Gibson Restoration and Repair (not their main customer services - who know nothing about anything they no longer manufacture). Took a month or so because Christmas got in the way but I came home from work to find a suspiciously large FedEx padded envelope. What was inside? ....
Great news about your strap buttons there Matt. Now if only you had an lovingly painted body buffed to an unfeasibly high standard and refurbished neck to bolt them to. But where the hell are we going to find a...... ... oh hang on what's this over here? Ready for collection any time mate.
 23.
hi as the title says i am looking to trade my Stingray (serial B006124) for a nice 70's precision with cash either way depending on what you have I think it's a '77....
B006124 does indeed date it somewhere around Aug/Sept '77. Good luck.
 24.
How many options will it give on a '51 P
Oh you get both options. Country and Western.
