    Sting has done the right in recent years and changed the keys he sings in to suit his newer, bassier range. Either that or he tunes down a semitone.

    So do I just buy standard terminal blocks, cut the wires and marry up the ends?

    I have a 62' RI Fender Jazz with the standard 2 vol, 1 tone configuration. I would like to experiment by fitting a stack-knob plate. Is it possible to add wiring terminals to the wires coming off the control plate so I can switch back again with ease if I prefer it to the stack sound?

    That is stunning! My own lefty white jazz 62RI MIJ is pretty roadworn and could do with a similar makeover (hint, hint) :-) I've already spoken to Kiogon about making me a lefty stack-knob control plate. Very nice job indeed.

    I had a set of Ernie Ball strings with blue silk. Use a micrometer to determine the string gauge. That might help someone tell you what they are.
