No routing issues if you by a jap Fender. Both my RI62 Jazzes and my RI57 P bass have no unecessary holes under the guards.

What a fantastic prize! Its also a wonderful design and professional job. Guess my cardboard 'Jaco on a stick' wasn't good enough.

Had a look at the link and does not look the same. From the photo I was shown it looked like a regular jazz bass. I have a MIJ 62RI myself.

Isn't there a website to contact the company for info? I played Overwaters at Chris May's stall at a music convention many years ago. Very nice. Got offered a 30% discount if I remember correctly. Didn't take it up though.

My nephew plays guitar and fancies buying a cheap bass to try. Im no use to him as Im a lefty. He has a friend selling a jazz bass copy. Ive only seen a photo but it looks like a '70s style sunburst with block inlays. It has a Fender-shaped headstock with the letters MI on it. Ive never heard of this brand. Is it from a while back or has someone just put their initials on the headstock? Couldn't find any info in a search online. Just wondering if its worth his while buying. Any insights would be useful and I'll pass them on.

Personally I think Warwick Davis is a good actor :-) I own a Thumb and it is a quality bass but I prefer my fender J and P basses these days.

I stripped a Musicmaster a long way back using Nitromors and it was pretty straightforward. Apparently the new recipe is useless as the active ingredient has been removed. Be interesting to know if there are stronger stripping agents still available.

I tried using nitromors recently on my jazz mij and all it did was discolour the original finish. Could not dislodge any paint. Are there different strengths available?
